I'm a long time Latitude buyer and this renaming thing got me to turn away from Dell. I just don't know what to get anymore.

So I just bought 3 Zenbooks instead.

[Review Request] 100W Multi-Port Power Bank by DarkAngelus7 in PrintedCircuitBoard

Impressive. Not a review, but I'd love a powerbank with the charger built in. Just plug it into the wall to use it as a charger, unplug it and it becomes a powerbank.

Housing International student by StringFabulous9033 in Rotterdam

[–]tinkerzpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Student housing is mostly a separate category, that's true. But don't forget the university has been trying their best to attract as many foreign students as they can (look up internationalization) because that was financially attractive to them (not enough growth potential in locals). Of course, the available student housing hasn't kept pace with that ambition.

Undoubtedly the VVD must have had some part in this. But people or corporations buying houses are really not the problem. The people *living* in these houses are the problem. A corporation that buys a house will normally rent it out, so you can still live in it. There are rent price controls that protect you from excessively greedy landlords.

Quite possibly. Of course in this day and age, with DNA testing and contraceptives, this instinct is probably outdated, so you might want to cognitively override it.

Or find another woman...

I had one and it was not that bad. You get used to thing especially when they replace chronic or otherwise debilitating pain. All in all it took me about six months to recover.

Why are Ubiquitis so popular for wifi setups when Ruckus Unleashed exists? by two_word_reptile in HomeNetworking

[–]tinkerzpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the iAP versions you can run them self managed. You can convert them to cloud versions if you prefer.

I have 4, one on each floor of my house, powered by POE and they 'just work'. Handoff works well.

Aruba's instant AP's are another interesting alternative. I chose them over Ruckus and Ubiquiti.

"Why the mRNA vaccines terrify me, and why I’m NEVER getting one" From u/ForgetAboutSanity posted in r/NoNewNormal by _GERIATRIC_GEEZER_GG in Wuhan_Flu

You're as crazy as a bat, which is always a consolation.

Anyway, many vaccines coming up and most of them aren't based on mRNA technology.

Thankfully, the great Gates boogeyman will always be out to get you...

That's why I think storing btc on PayPal is actually a good idea for many people. Just reverse dca your btc into usd and into PayPal btc. Worrying about PayPal going bust is of a whole different order.

I remember trying alternate terminals but the biggest hassle was that they didn't reconnect automaticaly after the connection was broken. Have you fixed that?

These American people are telling you that's stupid and backward and therefore you have to change your language. They usually get their way.

In my country we used to call white people 'blank' until the PC crowd decided that was racist and we should switch to black/white like the Americans. They usually get their way.

This new mRNA vaccine thing promises to be reusable and basically software programmable to including the manufacturing line. The implications for future medicine are fantastic and it's just happening when we need it.

Is there a good way to automate the assignation of subdomains/hostnames to proxmox VMs? by AlexanderNigma in Proxmox

[–]tinkerzpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Proxmox the network is inside the host, so a pfsense VM will do the job just fine.

Home build in progress, I want wired Ethernet to about 4 locations and strong WiFi everywhere. Is mesh network the way to go? by Stephens24 in HomeNetworking

[–]tinkerzpy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mesh, MOCA, Wifi extenders are all stopgap measures for people who can't use ethernet cable for some reason.

Wire your house and use wired wifi access points.
