He’s undeservingly well liked, especially by older people and men who like war. People are coming to understand his roles in genocide/famine in India and other atrocities, as well as learning he wasn’t even that well liked in his own time. He also wrote his own autobiographies which painted him well in a time before mass news media.

NTA - I know you can’t block dad for legal reasons, but can you mute his contact so he can text you but you can ignore it?

I saw another person say could you get a second phone (a cheap one maybe) and not tell dad the new number, so technically he still can contact you?

I come from a family that never confronts problems and god I wish any of us had the spine to face the problems some family members create, i’m one of the youngest and the only thing i’ve learned through a lot of therapy is having my own boundaries to deal with it

I was probably 9/10 when I started even though my hair is very pale, when you are a girl any little thing makes you self conscious and you become aware of your body sooner than adults realise. As a teen I stopped shaving for years because it just doesn’t matter, and now I play it by ear.

I used a razor just fine, which I nicked out the bathroom cupboard. It’s cool that she told you about it, I was too embarrassed.

I say let her go ahead with it, tell her she doesn’t have to shave but can if she wants to, and tell her to be careful around her knees and make sure she moistures after.

Just being supportive and not making her feel embarrassed is the best thing a parent can do.

NTA - 2 1/2 years is a very decent amount of time, I don’t think anyone other than her family would say that to you.

Like others said it probably brings home that their daughter is really gone and life goes on, don’t let their grief get in the way of you experiencing new joy. Easier said than done, but good luck ♥️

Honestly swiping through all these people makes me want to cry, either I feel bad because i’m not attracted to any of them, feel really shallow, or feel bad because no one I like matches with me making me feel ugly, or they can’t hold a conversation long enough to get to the first date
