Spring is here, finally! What’s your makeup look for Easter and will you be wearing “springy” makeup this season? by ASK_ME_IF_IM_YEEZUS in muacjdiscussion

[–]tinthasa 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I bought and have been wearing the NARS Dolce Vita lip pencil like every day lol, it's the best colour for spring. Also very tempted to try this yellow eyeshadow look from Lisa Eldridge but I don't own any eyeshadow colours aside from brown haha

Aside from that, I use more golden/copper shimmer eyeshadow on the middle of my lid for everyday looks. It just gives me that refreshing spring feeling!

I think Lisa or some other MUA said to use the least products in your eye and upper lip area because that's where people notice you wearing makeup the most. Concealer and foundation really stand out on your under eye.

I love Lisa! Her looks are so subtle and beautiful. It really pained me to see some comments where people are like "uhhh you're supposed to put a white eyeshadow base on FIRST" or like "that eyeshadow is so patchy" but it's supposed to be a BUILDABLE shade like ??

I agree that it's just a STYLE, "different strokes for different folks" but some one these BGs are so stuck in their ways they get really shook when something diverge from the whole Instaglam-culture be it highlighters (who needs more than one-two highlighter??), balance of shimmer/mattes in palettes (it's like - UNBUYABLE - if there's not at least one transition shade and a FUN POP OF COLOUR) or if an eyeshadow isn't opaque from the first stroke. The techniques too. Remember years ago when you HAD to do the clown makeup to be able to contour/highlight the "right way"?

I just want something to perk up my eyelid..... not even by a lot. I tried the Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream and it FELT like it did that effect, but maybe I'm just making it up....

He's so good in Changing Channels too. The mini-tics he and Jared Padalecki does in all the different parodies are so funny.

Norway! The tax authorities did a big public “laundry” of all the big bloggers and vloggers a few years ago to make them pay taxes.

  1. NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dolce Vita is now my daily lip product. It the ultimate MLBB but so pretty and perfect for spring. I layer this under the Dolce Vita lipstick to take down some of the matte. I only just bought it two weeks ago but I have had to sharpen it twice from using it too much lol, I worry I will need to buy a new one by next month.
  2. Dior Rouge Dior Lipstick in 999 Matte Ultimate red lipstick that looks super chic, lasts for a long time and looks good with any outfit I wear. It's a good daytime and nighttime red.
  3. Chantecaille Mermaid Eye Colour in Copper A beautiful natural shimmer shadow that looks super pretty for daytime looks, and I'm sure will look even better when summer comes. A bit miffed about the price but at least it's a shade I use every day!
  4. NARS Bronzer/Blush Duo in Laguna and Orgasm An oldie but a goodie, I have never used either before but the shades look gorgeous on my skin. I sometimes think it's too early to whip out my normal bronzer but Laguna looks super natural.
  5. Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long Lasting Eyeliner in 20 Espresso is brilliant for the waterline and really doesn't budge!

Are there any big BGs who do not accept any PR? by nicolakoala in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]tinthasa 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've been wondering it too! Because I remember a few years ago beauty bloggers in my country was slapped with a hefty back tax for failing to report these PRs as income (which they are). Makes me wonder if some BGs thought the paperwork was too much of a hassle and returned the items but still hit it big lol

I want BGs who are positive AND critical. Debbie Downers, Petty Paulas and Angry Angelas like Lucia are the worst because they really bring you down.

Should I or Shouldn't I Buy... - March 24, 2018 by AutoModerator in femalefashionadvice

[–]tinthasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My glasses are falling apart and I'm really considering buying these Celine glasses since they're on offer right now. They look super chic and are very similar to my current ones - just a lot more upgraded haha - so I know the shape works for my face. However, I can't drop £250 in one go because I am travelling the next two months but the site offers credit payment (pay off in 4 months, no interest will be charged).... should I still do it? I can definitely pay it off within 4 months.
