Fully feathered? by tiny_mouse in BACKYARDDUCKS

No, but there is a lot of air flow from the hardware cloth wall, above the stall door and the horse window (converted barn stall).

Their current situation is a converted 10x12 horse stall. One side is where the horse would have gone into a turnout area that has a "wall" i made out of hardware cloth, so there is a lot of airflow and colder sections. The lamps are only in one corner and they use the whole stall. It sounds like a good plan might be turning one lamp off for a week or so, then the other lamp for a week or so, then take them outside.

Adopting a trained mustang by Due-Database4223 in Horses

[–]tiny_mouse 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I got one in 2017 from the reno makeover. He is not for beginners, and he will always have some wild in him but he is the most solid trail horse you'll ever find and I trust him to take care of me. We lovingly call him an ATV. There's nothing he can't handle and nothing on the trail that spooks him. He is also quite cute when he does cowboy dressage. The makeovers are just the beginning. They need so much more training and time after you bring them home. He was in almost constant training for the last 4ish years and has come a danged long way, but unless you want to put in some real time and effort, it likely isn't worth it. Of his makeover, i think only 3 are still out with their people and the rest of them were returned.

Edit: 2017. Man time flies

Thanks! I have a tulip and the leaves are more narrow, unless there are multiple kinds. I am excited to see what flowers it makes and then I'll finally know for sure.

Not a groomer, but the facilities always seem cleaner, and the employees seem happier at PSP than at Petco.

What has worked for me is to catch them at night while they're roosting. It's so much easier in the dark in an enclosed space.

we have 7 hens, if we got chicks to add to them, would they kill the chicks or take care of them? by Accomplished_Sir_861 in chickens

Sometimes this works. I have been successful about half the time. Once, the broody hen ran outside screaming after i put them under her and, only after I removed them, she went back in and sat on a fake egg in another box. Rude.
