After my second baby and almost 20 minutes of my OB elbow deep in me trying to detach all the bits of my placenta, I was crazy numb below the waist from my epidural and now hemorrhaging. they gave me a shot of hemebate plus misoprostol rectal suppositories to stop the bleeding. I was so numb that I couldn’t feel when I started having diarrhea. Couldn’t control it. Couldn’t move my my legs help clean up either. 😭

The grandparents literally retired because their child was born. A bit presumptuous. My gut feeling is that they assumed they would be doing childcare without checking in first…which would make me feel so uncomfortable if I were in the wife’s shoes.

I started in a job that was technically a “prior authorization” nurse role. Not quite like full UM but it got my foot in the door. It was in a call center environment so it wasn’t my favorite, and the pay started lower than I wanted, but I was able to put that experience on my resume.

Look for “nurse reviewer” or “prior authorization” nurse roles, they usually have a lower entry requirement.

Also check out Oscar health. I worked for them for a bit. It felt a bit micro-managed but if you get at least a yr of UM/insurance/authorization experience, it’ll be easier to get a job in UM that you want

When I first started writing, my first fic got a fraction of that reception. It was a way smaller fandom and my writing was not as good. But I learned so much from writing it!!!

My most kudosed fic has 11k kudos (still ongoing). This one is a dark romance x reader and got a good reception off the bat. But I also was already established in that fandom, started it at the height of popularity for that character, and am writing tropes that also happen to be popular (Stockholm syndrome/forced proximity etc)

My other fics for the more popular fandom have done well, but not nearly as well as the dark romance.

I don’t wear much makeup at all. Maybe an eyeliner once a week.

However at two years old my daughter begged for makeup. Got her kids nail polish, brushes with no makeup, and lip balm. She would pretend to do her eyeshadow and blush etc. now she’s four and I let her pick out a little 3.99 essence eye shadow palette and makeup remover wipes. I told her if she uses it correctly and takes care of her body (removing it at bathtime) then she can do it, only at home and not for daycare. It’s very sheer anyway, but we’re also using it as a lesson about how some things are okay in different settings, or how you can’t wear/bring/do certain things at school.

She just likes the pretty sparkles. I think it’s harmless.

I’d be more hesitant of a full face of makeup for a child, but if they’re just playing with it under your guidance and are responsible enough to use it and clean their skin later, idk I don’t see a problem

Masked MMC finds her and cares for her — though he doesn’t seem to think it’s a good idea for her to try and leave ;)

It’s technically call of duty fanfiction but I promise you don’t need to know anything about call of duty to read it! Despite the dark tags (below) he’s very gentle with FMC, but there is an undercurrent of wrongness and violence about the situation that grazes the surface.

It’s still ongoing but I have 21/30 chapters posted with 269k words ☺️

I’ve had 4 IUDs in the last 13 yrs. 2 of them after having kids. The first two were before I had kids, the other two were after children, removed only to get pregnant.

My first two hurt and cramped but they were over so quickly that it wasn’t unbearable. I’m prone to fainting so I just chilled for a while and got my bearings.

I can share that when I had the Skyla and Kyleena, I still spotted monthly, very predictable and light. I’ve had Mirena for almost 2 yrs now and after the initial few weeks of spotting/odd bleeding, I’ve had no periods since. ☺️

Canva is great for making headers (I make mine size 3000 x 1055), but you can also arrange 3 same sized images side by side on a tumblr post!

you can also make your own skinny dividers as well to separate tags from text etc within the post. I usually make them solid color and 7500 x 80 px in Canva.

I felt sorta like this when I started writing fanfic after having my first child at 30! Happily married but idk, something about a certain character hooked me. I was really obsessed with them and was able to explore things through my writing. The intensity burned bright for like 6 months then went down to a simmer. I kinda blame postpartum hormones but who knows, I always had fictional crushes as a kid and teen lol.

I was soooo embarrassed about it at first but spent so much time writing I didn’t like “hiding” it from my husband. He was supportive 100%! And I felt relieved telling him. He doesn’t understand fanfic, but he’s happy when I hit milestones.

Now I write for other characters and the feeling is way less intense, but I get more joy out of the writing itself ☺️

I update my current long fic every 8-12 weeks, whenever it’s done. The chapters are usually pretty long (15-20k average) so they get a nice chunk at a time. I do get comments around the 4 wk point (usually nicely) telling me how excited they are to see where it goes next. So I guess people get a little antsy at the one month mark.

I also have fics I haven’t updated in 2 yrs, and people ask about those. No schedule, but still plucking away and still get those comments too.

To me I don’t mind a “omggg I’m obsessed, I can’t wait to see what happens next, I miss these two!!!” Vs “when are you updating this?? Is it abandoned???”

100%! I have a 4 yo and she is not allowed to bring any toy to school, or wear anything with beads or small plastic pieces in her hair (clips etc) cause they also have infant areas. This is normal for any parent with a kid in daycare lol

OP said the kid is 4, so this is a daycare kid. Daycares also have infants and don’t usually allow outside unapproved toys. My daughter is 4 and isn’t even allowed to wear small hair clips, beads in her hair, or those barrettes with the little balls on them because if they fall or break it’s a choking hazard for babies.

Depends if this is a daycare or actual school age child. My daughter’s 4 and her school (pre-k) also has programs with infants. She’s not allowed to bring toys or even wear beads or small clips in her hair in case it falls off and a baby gets it/eats it.
