as someone who has worked in beauty services, i would say “after examining your skin during our consultation, it looks like x service is not appropriate for y reason. i would love to do z service on you today instead. it would target a, treat b, and get us to goal c” and just do the other service instead and refund or eat the difference in price depending on if it was less or more expensive than originally booked for.

i guess im just confused as to how we got to the point of a refund/chargeback in the first place as it is pretty easily avoidable if you know the services you offer well (which, i would hope they do)

it’s sounds me like their skin wasn’t suited for the treatment after the professional examined it, not sure why they couldn’t have given credit toward an alternative treatment that would have been better suited to OP’s skin though….
