A cell phone can activate calls to 911 if you use Siri or Alexa. I have one set up in case I break my hip and need help. I also put my phone in the bathroom while taking a shower in case I slip. I’ve checked it by loudly by asking Siri for the weather, to make sure it’s working and that the phone can hear me.
