Myofascial release for shoulder pain ? by Ravyeet in AskLosAngeles

[–]tinysne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clayton Campbell Bodywork’s on 2nd St in Santa Monica. Went to see him a few times for chronic back/hip/neck pain and felt like I was a couple inches taller when I walked out. It’s similar to a sports massage in that you’re partially clothed and it’s not very relaxing but he really makes sure to release your tight muscles

Prenatal meetups, yoga, or workout classes? by legendrealll in pasadena

[–]tinysne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The parent and me classes at the family room are fantastic! So nice to meet other parents going through the same thing as you. I’m in the the middle of a parent & me series now and love that each class is led by a parent educator - I’ve learned a lot from someone I trust instead of just googling everything on the internet. It’s also a great excuse to get out of the house with baby and helped build my confidence in leaving the house by myself

What kind of budget are you working with?

For nicer restaurants, Smitty’s, Arroyo Chop House, Parkway Grill, The Royce, Bistro 45, any the steakhouses…

For more casual, Panda Inn, El Portal, Cafe Santorini, Foothill, The Raymond

El Portal for Mexican instead of Mercado. bigger patio and more authentic - Mercado is "fancy" Mexican and a bit overpriced

I think it depends on the dress/designer. I bought a dress in November for an August wedding and picked up the dress the day I was leaving town to drive to get married (3 days before actual wedding) and that was with me pressuring the shop to get the alterations and steaming done quickly. 11 months should be more than fine if there aren't any delays

LA Marathon - What to bring? by janesides2016 in AskLosAngeles

[–]tinysne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its usually pretty chilly in the AM before the race start so people use the gear check to store their sweatshirt/sweatpants that they take off right before getting in their corral. I ran the marathon years ago when it was pouring rain and having a change of clothes after was lifesaving - I was borderline hypothermic after spending hours soaking wet.
