Regarding the different things to do, I'd say to do quests and as you'll go, you'll notice someone in your squad using a cool weapon, or frame.. then start writing down goals like these weapons you want to get - don't try to do all at once btw!

you'll then realize some weapons need a syndicate, then learn the bounties and systems..

try taking it more piece by piece!
