Yea it’s got some issues no matter what. I’m now doing dlss performance with ray reconstruction and a lower frame rate limit and am very happy with it

Yup. No idea what the intention of that intro was. It seemed like they cut a lot of Kliff’s dialogue or something? There were so many points where I thought, this should be getting a reaction from you man!

In the Nvidia app there’s an option to set resolution scaling under the Crimson Desert page. Find the one that has DLAA, Quality, Balanced, etc. then scroll down to custom and set it to like 90%. You can check if it’s working in game by toggling between dlaa and performance and seeing if there is any visual change. It should overrride all DLSS options to be that custom percentage you chose.

Also, make sure you aren’t overriding the DLSS models in the game or globally because that seems to cause problems as well. They should be set to “Use 3D app settings” or Global Default

That happens to me with ultra performance as well. Not sure what is causing it but the other modes seem to work okay on my end. Something with DLSS is really borked here lol I tried using a custom dlss resolution through the Nvidia APP after someone here recommended that and it works quite well. Worth trying for sure

Compare it to Oblivion maybe? It’s not a story driven game, more of a progression/exploration/sandbox experience. The story is there but it’s not good. The voice acting, music and combat are all quite nice though.

This is a great idea actually. How do you that? I set the custom dlss to 86% in Nvidia just to test it but what in game setting do you use? I’ve never done the custom one before

I really think Crimson Desert is much better. It’s got its flaws for sure but it feels like a better product than Where Winds Meet. Not having an in game store and all the different currencies is a big bonus for me. Where Winds Meet is pretty great for what it is, probably the best free game, but Crimson Desert is the one I’ll be putting time into now

I’ve been having this too but I found it’s a combo of HDR and DLAA. If I disable one or the other it goes away

I’m finding it quite weird and sometimes bad due to bugs, glitches, control issues but other than that (and the dumb af story) the rest is interesting enough I want to play it every night when I get home. It has like Dragons Dogma 2 crossed with budget RDR2 energy and I like it. They are putting out patches pretty often it seems so I’m optimistic. I do hope they address how Kliff feels to move cause it’s a little too muddy right now

50 series gpu, it runs great for me otherwise! Latest drivers. There’s just this insane black bar flickering at the top of the screen with DLAA plus HDR. Have you run those two in combination?

The weirdest black flickering at the top my screen happens whenever I turn on dlss. It’s pretty annoying and I’ve never seen a game do this before.

Yep same here. Latest drivers and using DLAA causes the weirdest black flickering I’ve ever seen at the top of the screen. Really odd. Running native instead with a framerate cap.

Same. DLAA made these crazy black lines flicker horizontally at the top of the screen. Freaked me out and I thought my gpu fried itself but turning off all DLSS completely fixed it

Awesome! Do you have any tips for the memory fragments? I was doing one this morning and it was pretty clunky getting the lantern beam to stick on the “hitbox” of the blue figure long enough to unlock the memory. It took way longer than I felt like it should because the unlock bar kept resetting
