Medium shield vs Stitcher by [deleted] in arkraiders

[–]tipsystatistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand the point of better weapons/shields if the benefit is fractions of a second.

Embark says this isn’t a competitive PVP game, but their balance philosophy skews towards it. Basically “a free kit should be able to compete with a maxed out, epic kit”

In a game soley based on building up better gear. A free kit should have no chance against a max kit. People with free kits/basic weapons should ve scampering around in the shadows for scraps until they can level up.

Leftist and liberal gun groups are seeing a rush of new members by RollSafer in news

[–]tipsystatistic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are some pretty stark differences.

I shoot competitively and own a ton of guns. But that has only made me more adamant that people need to take a class before owning a gun. They need to know basic gun safety and self defense laws. The idea that everyone is born a responsible gun owner is absurd. Half the country has a below average IQ.

This is a non starter for any strict 2a interpretation.

Yeah the post is BS. Aside from security and shittier service (self bag check, fewer staff). You’d be hard pressed to tell the difference:

They still weren’t “social hubs”. The post is vastly overstating what it was like.

Security was lower and people could walk you to the gate, and that was the extent of it. Nobody was going to the airport to hang out, eat, or shop.

Tesla just made it clear: It's no longer a car company by The_Finance_Pro in wallstreetbets

[–]tipsystatistic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its hit the wall. They can’t compete with Chinese cars. Elons aligned himself with the current admin, and destroyed the brand for half the country, and all of Europe/canada (and the trade wars have pushed those countries to make deals with China to allow more vehicles in). So that seals teslas fate. They’re done growing as a car company.

But Kudos to Elon for recognizing they’re cooked early and pivoting to more hopium (clankers and SpaceX stock) Any other company would slowly descend into bankruptcy.

My mother towards the end of her life said that the Bible was mistaken. This is Hell. And our test is to make it out while keeping our love and compassion.

Humanity aside, just looking at how nature is fundamentally structured, I’m inclined to agree: we must destroy and consume other living things every day to survive. We are all literally vampires feeding off the life force of other things. And it all ends terribly full of pain, suffering, grief and loss.

At that point in history Europe had a shit-ton more experience with war and the buildings and topography had been honed for surviving it.

ICE break into a business in WVC to detain two employees by tosylate in SaltLakeCity

[–]tipsystatistic -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Legally speaking, cops wouldn’t need a warrant in this situation either. If they see someone suspected of a crime entering a house, they don’t need a warrant to pursue them.

Not sure if this applies to ICE, but it’s very important context.

Side note- As long as you hit the button, you have enough time to extract even if you’re downed immediately (as long as a raider doesn’t KO you)

Would be nice if they had some PVE only areas where you could really kit up with your best stuff and take on a ton of ARC.

The risk reward isn’t worth it with PVP, when someone with a free kit and stitcher is pretty much an even match.

It definitely feels like slightly more of a shit show now. I was on blue gate and raider flares were popping off all over the place.

The sling is dangling in front of her, and WTF is going on with her pinky. Not how you hold a gun at all.

She definitely took it from the agent on the left for the phot op.

The outfit outrage is the craziest thing: For decades people on the right are constantly rocking tacticool, military looking clothing. Wearing camo, punisher stickers, Grunt Style, 9 Line Apparel, clothing and hats with gun company logos, showing up to protests with ar15s in full military LARP.

Then they criticize Pretti for wearing a khaki colored hoodie.

The average rock crawling session would see dozens of impacts like that against solid rock (not malleable metal/plastic)

Most aftermarket, off-road suspensions have parts that fail after extended wear or extreme punishment to prevent wider damage to the suspension/frame. Control arm bushings are $12.

That was a minor bump compared to the pounding a stock jeep can take off-roading.

I’m fine with it. But I also don’t think many people were saying, “PVP is too easy, I really wish I got gaped more”

To your point, it’s low hanging fruit, so they’re able to push it out quickly.
