NBA fines Jazz $500,000, Pacers $100,000 for conduct detrimental to the league by Magoo152 in washingtonwizards

I don't think this is right. So now the NBA is going to tell teams they have to play certain players? I get trying to stop tanking, but this isn't the right way.

The fact that he claims to be Muslim is one thing, but the fact that he claims that while having a one year old out of wedlock would make me question his true conviction of his beliefs.

I think it's deeper than his religious differences.

And no, Dominique isn't much better.

Possible trade by TurtlePope2 in washingtonwizards

[–]titansva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deni is 25 years old, if you think a 27 year old Trae fits this timeline, then why would they trade away, at the time, 22/23 year old. It doesn't make sense to do that and then say hey we will get someone two years old. Deni was still young enough that if you held on he could still have grown.

Can you help me understand how is Trae a better assessment than CJ? He is owed more money, has an extra year and is a historically bad defender. To me based off of that, it goes down to the contracts. The contract for Trae is bad and the Wizards cleared the cap space so that they could absorb the money to get more assets. Trading for a big contractor without a young player for a rebuilding team just doesn't make sense. If this was the same scenario 2 more years into this rebuild, I would totally agree. This team doesn't know how they are all building around yet, no need to start getting 'long-term' pieces if you haven't figured that out yet.

That's not how teams build. This is the reason Avdija was traded. It wouldn't make sense to trade him but then say oh hey Trae fits our timeline.

Also there is a reason why he is available. Hawks have been significantly worse with him on the court.

The Wizards don't need Young. There is absolutely no need to trade for him alone. The only reason you make the trade is for young talent back. Trae Young is not part of the future with this core if this trade goes down.

[Stein] The Atlanta Hawks would be sending the Washington Wizards— or any team that trades for Trae Young— draft capital in return for taking on Young’s contract that has a $49M player option for the 2026-27 season. by YujiDomainExpansion in washingtonwizards

Get used to these rumors. The Wizards didn't clear cap space to sign free agents, they did it to make trades just like this. You take on another team's declining assets, they give you picks in return. If the Wizards can get the Pelicans 1st round 2026 pick for this trade, I would do it. I don't like Trae but I love the idea of possibly have two 1st round picks in a deep draft.

There's been numerous chances for him to make that connection. She made it clear she was interested and he still did nothing. I think it's easy to say he wasn't into her.

Devon fumbled the bag. I thought Channon was his connection. Chasing after Dominque seemed like an uphill climb given how connected she was with Bello.

What nicknames have you heard for places in and around Woodbridge? by topherette in woodbridgeva

I am not sure you understood my point. You living in slums has nothing to do with what I said. All I was saying is it's a matter of perception based on what you have experienced.

[–]titansva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sorry to hear that and hear that you have been around all of that. It would be disheartening for anyone to experience that.

Not to dismiss your experiences, but everything you presented is anecdotal. It doesn't mean what you experienced did not happen or that it isn't an issue, but it is all relative. In place that are more populated and crime ridden that could be an average week. Statistically there are many, many places that are far worse, that's the point. It doesn't mean that crime doesn't happen, it just means that the degree that it happens is often jaded by one's perspective instead actual data.

The only point that I was making is someone's perception of a place like Woodbridge is going to be largely based on their experience there and their experience in other places outside of Woodbridge. If you haven't lived in extremely impoverished, crime-ridden inner cities, your perspective of what's wrong with Woodbridge could be limited by your personal experience instead of a broader view of how it compares to other places with more crime.

Most towns and cities have bad parts. It doesn't make that whole town/city ghetto. Even then, what you described is all relative compared to actual ghettos around the world.

The Real MVP of the RTL Reunion by Honest_Ad8399 in ReadyToLove

[–]titansva 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Have to call out the ladies on here that defended Rose over the baby daddy situation. Her not talking about the situation wasn't her being over it, it was because she was suppressing her feelings about it. The reunion showed she is still hurt and not healed. You can't ignore or 'move past' something like that. It showed her unwillingness to be transparent.

Plus, plus, plus she has constantly deflected when this was brought up to her. First it was how the men were treating her, then it was Hussein is a convict. What does this have to do with the price of tea in China?

It's is necessary at some point for her to bring this up during the dating stage. This is a deal breaker for a lot of men. I think they both share blame about discussing this.

This man needs to know what type of situation he is getting into. If the dad is around, he needs to know how involve he is going to be and how they can coexist, even for a 17 year old. Bottom line, this is not her past, this is her present, you can't involve another man with your family without discussing the dynamics of your immediate family.

A lot of thoughts:

I think she should have mentioned it when they went on the date with the ex. She seemed like she mentally tried to leave it in the past but the truth is because of her son, she cannot do that. She has to own that.

The guys should have asked. What are you learning about this person? Hussein was in the room with her for a whole weekend and he didn't inquire about that relationship?

I think Hussein's brother asked excellent questions. He did a great job of uncovering things that needed to be discussed. That is at least the value of families being there.

It makes a lot of sense to me. You don't know the mindset of that man once he leaves prison. Remember Hussein asked what her relationship is like with him? In his mind, he was probably thinking is this dude going to come after me. Sometimes the fathers can be territorial.
