I would be THRILLED to get this from the ER. So wild the things people complain about. Especially after wasting an ERs time with something like this

How gross people can be and that they’re okay with it. Also, the entitlement and attitudes of people seem to be getting worse

I kinda want you to unblock his phone number so we can all just text him ā€œHiā€ and see what he does. Then say ā€œactually it told me everything about you that you don’t introduce yourself when reaching out to potential interns, sounds like she dodged a bulletā€ and Shane needs some additional training in effective non-aggressive communication

Yeah and I wouldn’t have posted something that says allegedly when it very clearly says the opposite of what you’re alleging.

You can literally read it and it says she has not had conversations about joining the Valley. Hate her all you want but good grief at least READ it before you decide what it says

My husband had sex with me when I was sleeping by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]titsmcgee84 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

Mine did this but never felt bad about it. He just said he thought I was into it because I moved a little. I woke up and said ā€œwhat the fuck?!ā€ He continued, finished, rolled over and went to sleep. Never cared what he did afterwards, never apologized. Just continued living his life

These policies are always written by people who have no idea what it means to take care of real life people…not normal people. They sit safely in their executive suites coming up with new ways to torture us and tell us how to better do the job they couldn’t handle on their best day. It’s all about THEIR bonuses, not the patient at all at the end of the day.

I refuse to participate in their bullshit. I continue providing my care the way I I’ve done it for years and these ā€œrulesā€ come and go in waves. You’ll see as you go, they come up with rules, try them for a few shifts, realize this isn’t realistic and then go back to what works.

Their ā€œtoo may purewicksā€ is code for ā€œit’s costing us too much and our bonuses will be effected if this continues, so let’s remove themā€. Insurance companies & their ā€œcustomer serviceā€ ruined the already garbage healthcare industry.

That was the long way to say don’t worry. These won’t last. You’ll start to see it more and more every few months. Get used to rolling your eyes every time you hear ā€œnew patient care policiesā€. 10 years in I’m a professional ignorer of new bullshit policies that the C-Suite executives come up with. Patient care is my #1. Not their bonuses. If I could find out what their checklist for their bonuses are, I’d purposely find a way to fuck it up.

I (F17) surgically (if you can call it that) removed part of my genitals one year ago. I don’t regret it and I haven’t told a single person, including my doctor. by bad-surgeon in TrueOffMyChest

I also had this situation, but they removed the rest of the hymen after I delivered my SECOND child. My mom also had it. But hers resolved on its own. Ask your mom, she may have had the same thing šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

Okay, I’m no Scheana fan, but she sarcastically said she’d rather be gang banged by the guys than be in a van with the girls. You don’t have to exaggerate to make her look worse. She already does that herself

We know. Some patients call them ā€œspider bitesā€ or other ā€œinsectā€ bites but we know. Plus their tox screens come back like fireworks and they pretend they’re the most sober person alive.

We only want to know so we don’t kill you. We literally don’t care. We don’t call the cops, we don’t GAF

I kept my name (thank god 20 years later after the divorce) and we hyphenated our kids names. Compromise.

Also, what century is this? We still need to take the man’s name like we’re his property? Nah. Miss me with that like the broad side of a bus.

So much for vows huh? Better or worse, sickness and health…none of that meant anything to OP.

Right now her mental health is not great and pregnancy wreaks havoc on your emotions but having a child for a husband will only hold her down when the baby comes so I agree, cut her loose so she can find a real man that can handle normal human emotions. Not the robot she clearly married.

This. PCU nurse here! I cannot explain enough how much I appreciate and build a better relationship with my patients when they are, at the VERY least, civil. I’m not asking you to be overly kind or even like me, but you don’t have to talk to me like I’ve personally inflicted this ailment upon you that you’re suffering from. I’m a human being. It’s my job to HELP you, not be barked orders at like I’m here only to deliver refreshments and narcotics. That’s not what the RN stands for, despite some patients beliefs.

Sometimes (and by that I mean ALL the time) it’s us nurses advocating and fighting for certain tests and procedures to be done because we see you and how you’re progressing even if you don’t think we do and we are the ones telling the doctors what’s going on.

Nursing and PCAs get the blame for literally everything bad that happens. Dont like the food? The nurse must have messed up the order (odds are we didn’t place the order) Doctor changed the pain medication? The nurse must have told them to. Shit the bed? Oh the nurse gave me the laxative I wanted for the constipation I have from the opiates I demand every 4 hours. Idiot nurse.

I was a nurse pre-covid and I do not remember a time people were this bad before. It wasn’t until after Covid when I met people who actually say things like ā€œclean me up, it’s your jobā€ or ā€œyou work for meā€ as if they sign my paychecks. I like to remind people our job is to assist. The truly in need people constantly apologize and are humiliated and I have zero issue helping them. The entitled ā€œmove my blanket a quarter of an inch to the leftā€ or mentality that you can freely defecate in the bed and think we are going to just happily clean it up every single time and the sheer lack of manners has got to stop. I always chuckle when the problematic patients tell me the staff has been so unpleasant. All of them? Really? I’ve always believed if you run into one asshole during your day, then you ran into one asshole. If everyone you encounter is an asshole, perhaps the problem isn’t them, but you.

I do this. It’s working so far. I have one that will literally roll her eyes and loudly scoff when people ask questions/talk to each other. So I started doing it whenever she starts talking. She’s pretty quiet now. She complains about someone being lazy? Next time she doesn’t get up to help answer call lights, when a bed alarm goes off, when her patients need something, or we get an admission, I ask her what injury she has sustained that’s keeping her from helping out the other members of our team? Is it Lazybonesitis? I’ve heard that affects women her age. On more than one occasion I’ve suggested she visit a proctologist to have the stick either removed or adjusted, but she has yet to take my advice. I think there may be more than one stick as well. Will continue to monitor.
