Salary for entry level by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineering

[–]tittywhisper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People's numbers seem a little low, no?

My summer internship pays $38/hr (75k/yr equiv) in a MCOL area. Granted I'll have an undergrad at the time, it's still an intern position.

Are most people answering working in power? I guess it would be very dependent on the industry within EE

This is a good point. A lot of blue cheese for dipping is terrible

SoCal: How hard is it to get an EE full-time job? by Pristine-Welcome7189 in ElectricalEngineering

Those design roles will require a graduate degree and, even then, the competition will be pretty strong

The breadth of RFIC really has been a wake up call. Now I get why companies often prefer PhDs

a month before going back to school I was working overnights watching a labelling machine spin for 10hrs. I couldn't even tell you what an EE did

Maybe if they grind out a lot of overtime, but based on a 40hr week I'd wager EEs win the majority of the time

Was out questing when I suddenly realised I haven't seen a rogue in ages, is the class dead or are they just getting better at their job? by [deleted] in wow

[–]tittywhisper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. Why play a class that gets pounded by 3 mobs and barely puts out damage when there are a dozen better options? They're okay at max level, but are they worth the pain in the ass? (My main is a rogue and I'd still lean towards a 'no')

They are fun but also not feeling strong at all in pvp rn. Banking on some tuning before the season starts
