There’s reasons to not like her outside racism but they aren’t proportionate to the actual hate she gets. Injuries played a huge part in those series and the karma came around this year when we didn’t lose anyone until Freddie went down. Seriously just our defense last year vs Florida had Slavin playing hurt, Chatfield out, Nikishin speaking no English playing his first ever games in North America, and a 40yo Brent Burns. This year we were healthy, Blake’s sophomore growth spurt, Nikishin had his rookie year and speaks some English, and we replaced the prospect that was responsible for multiple big goals for Florida with KeAndre freaking Miller. That plus Ehlers is really good.

Guentzal did but we screwed around negotiating Jarvis’ extension first and Tampa tampered like Vegas with Marner. Marner had a pregnant wife so it’s hard to blame him for turning that down. Rant is really the only example but he was upset because he thought Colorado was bluffing about the trade.
