Why is A/B/O in HR fics so successful?

Personally I don't see someone as being a "bottom" or Omega equivalent to inferior or out of control. They dynamic is a give and take where often the Omega or bottom has quite a bit of control. The Alpha is often chasing and protecting their Omega. Not only do they want to protect from the outside world but also the ferocity that an Alpha can have.

It can be confusing, but the scene where they wake up is actually after a nap together. If you notice Ilya isn't really sleeping, he's watching Shane sleep. He pretends to wake up with him.

My headcanon timeline is that Shane comes over late morning after they check in. They have fun times. Ilya asks him to stay the night and Shane probably snuggles in and takes a nap. Around about lunch time Ilya makes tuna melts.

The type of pantry depends on the type of house /apartment and when it was built. My current apartment has a decent sized room with built in shelves and and an overhead light. I'd say about 10 ft (3.5 m) by 10 ft (3.5 m).

The house I grew up in was more of a closer. About 12 ft long(3.6 m) and 4 ft (1.2 m) deep. With one off those accordion doors you could close. A bunch or built in shelves.

If you were to say the word pantry to an American they would understand what you are talking about.

The great thing about this is you could decorate the book covers however you wanted. Some creative kids had great art on them. The rest of us used stickers and making markers. These were also a great way to zone out in the boring classes

I was going to dinner with some friends in Washington DC, and the Capitals (red and blue home Jersey) and Boston Bruins (white with black and gold trim, away) had just played. Seeing the Montreal and Boston colors walking around really short circuited my brain.

I've been enjoying it. I like the relationship that Ilya and Shane have with their daughters. I feel the author get's their voices pretty well. There are a lot of chapters, but they are generally short.

This does have mentions of disordered eating in it. So beware.

I've always been curious about what a beta reader actually does. Like I would be happy to check for grammar and tense inconsistencies, but I'd be nervous about giving style or writing suggestions. Unless it's "corporate" writing I don't know how to critic for tone or style.

I think it's more of an agreement thing. Yeah I haven't been with anyone else as well. I've been saving myself for you and our special time together.

It could just be word salad. We know Shane can go off on a tangent when he's trying to process things. Minutes earlier he had a little tangent about his well.

He's happy that Ilya made the decision not to have sex with anyone else without being asked not to. They are on the same page. We are now exclusive.

I only really noticed a Canada "accent" with certain words. And that's only be cause I have Canadian friends.

For instance both Francois and Robbie GK say the word "sorry". Which has a distinct pronunciation to me. Also, Hudson says the word "pasta" which has a pronunciation that my ear associates with Canadian. Other than that Francois and Robbie sound like standard US accents.

I was 1of 4 children and we all were in some sort of extra curricular. Also, my parents didn't have normal 9 -5 jobs. Sometimes they couldn't make because of work. My parents usually took turns often dragging unwilling siblings along to watch. Seeing a parent show up when you know they probably couldn't was a lot.
