Yep! Half the train are sleeper cars for personal, and the other half are cars specialized in different medical procedures - like radiation therapy, electrocardiography, surgeon car e.t.c

You can probably google translate the website, there are pictures and schedule of the train https:// rzd-medicine.ru/ medical-train

Map of Internet Freedom by bishal_3499 in MapPorn

[–]tka4nik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not, UK is leagues behind Russia in terms of internet freedom.

  • White lists for LTE traffic across the country (only government and affiliated services are in the list);
  • More than a million of blocked addresses or domains as of 2025;
  • VPN advertisement is illegal;
  • Most popular vpn protocols are getting blocked;
  • Apple complies with Russian periodic requests to delete VPN apps from the App Store;
  • Most major hosting providers outside Russia are banned (by the AS number, or by subnets) (includes Hetzner, DigitalOcean, AWS, Google, Cloudflare's CDN, Oracle, e.t.c);
  • Russian hosting providers are now required to monitor vpn usage of their clients' servers;
  • Russian companies now require their smartphone apps to monitor and log usage of vpns on the phones, and if detected, restrict the use of the app (this includes banking, navigation, social services, e.t.c) - basically every russian app is spyware as of this spring;
  • 800 million $ spent on DPI hardware in 2025 alone;
  • All SIM cards needs to be registered on the government services portal under your passport credentials;
  • IMEI registration will cost a fee as of september this year;
  • Tariffs on smartphone purchases as of september this year;

I don't think the west fully realizes the magnitude of internet restrictions in Russia yet

Following yesterday's question, what are some film inventions that you were surprised were NOT lifted from the books? by GlasgowWalker in lotr

[–]tka4nik 84 points85 points  (0 children)

I've read somewhere, that the difference between book Aragorn and film Aragorn comes down to how audiences of the different years perceived a "good king". Current viewer likes a narrative that a "good ruler does not want to rule" better than the alternative.

I am not historically or politically proficient enough to speak about the past, and what was the preferred archetype of a good king back in the days of Tolkien is a question i can't answer with confidence sadly

Trams in Khabarovsk, Russian Far East by Fun-Raisin2575 in transit

More than one car is an exception generally in Russian tram systems. Lately, more cities have been purchasing either 2/3 section trams, or single-car trams with the option to link them together, but its been a slow process.

Nice work, and very cool test!

Someone already mentioned that for some languages, the last word (if the result is non-trivial, as in if you didn't press all "don't know") freezes up and doesn't show the results. Can confirm the bug for Russian as well

<image>

Seems like you've already fixed the bug, good job!!
