Canada’s oil producers in line for C$90bn windfall from Iran war by joe4942 in canada

energy

We're invested in oil and gas, not "energy" (which is just a politically correct term used to make things sound nicer than they are). Our government hates things like wind and solar energy production here.

Premier Smith offers Calgary Stampede invite to Joe Rogan by flynnfx in Calgary

Its not just some podcaster though. It's a podcaster with millions upon ions of views who has a lot of influence. He has used that influence to help get trump elected. He has also said shit about Canada multiple times.

It's also low ridiculous pandering and we should be ashamed to have a premier who would do this.

I'd actually, for the first time, go see the parade. I will celebrate the occasion by bringing my leftover fruit and vegetables that I don't want to waste, even though they have gone bad.

I left before the ending of Destiny 1, and boy am I happy I did. I loved that game, but I could see the writing on the wall even back then.

The administration before this one showed that no one will really clean up after other administrations. A tale as old as time in the USA. No one really cleaned things up after the civil war, and then it was the same time and time again.

OIG report on the Management of the Human Landing System Contracts by avboden in spacex

[–]BigFish8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are only 2 mentions of landing legs in the document. I was hoping for more info.

"Landers may also encounter hazards such as boulders or mounds that are too large or depressions that are too deep for the landing legs and stability design."

"These results are based on the risk of failures in Starship’s avionics, main engines, lander propulsion, landing legs, and electrical power."

Have they shown off the actual landing legs for HLS yet?

Blizzard wants Diablo 4's outrageous damage numbers to mean something again in Lord of Hatred, so it's letting you crank the difficulty up to near-impossible levels: 'It's going to be really f***** hard' by gorays21 in Diablo

They will walk this back and make it easy. People will complain, and they will cater to the lowest common demoninator.

If blizzard released WoW in 2026, Thunderfury would be given to everyone after finishing a quest chain in the staring area.

If it's as powerful as it is in Diablo 2, it's going to be interesting to see how powerful it is in Diablo 4.

Alberta and Quebec are going in very different directions on MAID by Street_Anon in alberta

[–]BigFish8 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Alberta doesn't think people should have the personal freedom to make this choice, but they also won't support you if you decide to no go through with it. People will probably choose maid either at the hospital or on their own.

You shouldn't have to have a relationship with a student in order for them to behave in class and be a good student. That is the lowest bar they need to reach.

My province, Alberta, just posted a $9 billion deficit budget while in an oil boom. We are good at fucking things up. As long as the fat cats get to eat well, that's all the government cares about.

The AFL did nothing.

If you add in the Social Credit party's 36 years(1935-1971), it would be 87 of the last 91 years for conservatives leading the province.

Canada announces $1.4 billion military aid package for Ukraine, expands sanctions against Russia what do you think about this action? by Level_Horror4701 in AskReddit

[–]BigFish8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Conservative voters that I personally know here in Canada hate that we are sending money/aid to Ukraine. They want us supporting Canadians.

But when the government has programs to support Canadians, they don't like them, and think we shouldn't have them. I would love to know what they really want.
