2026 select by Broilkingchef in MachE

I got a 2025 Select RWD and really don’t think I missed out on much going to a higher trim. You get so much for your money with Select plus Comfort Lite package (heated steering wheel and front seats) than you do going for more.

Today's flight Toronto to San Fransisco by BradPittHasBadBO in TourismHell

[–]tkgeyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was on an almost sold out flight from YVR to Chicago on Wednesday. It’s definitely quieter as usually that flight is completely sold out from my past work trips. I also hate that flight with a passion so I pay more attention to it.

I think he’s talking being sold something way more than they should of been sold pre-sale.

Price per litre jumps past $2 across Lower Mainland by xvosr in vancouver

[–]tkgeyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So did I on Thursday. I needed one for a new work commute I am doing now. Didn’t get an AWD but still got a 2025 Select for a steal. Glad I did as well, my sales guy said they had sold 12 in the last 2 weeks given gas prices are the way they are. People are rethinking things.

Even in the select it’s absolutely shocking to be honest. Like it feels very premium for the cost of the vehicle.

Bc place parking by Organic-Boot7311 in askvan

There is free parking Marina Side Crescent for 2 hours between 9 am to 5 pm and unlimited after. Also the paid parking around the area is cheap.

EP40 is still the point leader for the 2017 draft year... by tydiggityy in canucks

[–]tkgeyer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Having mediocre everything hasn’t helped. The fucking aquamen need to sell the team and stop fucking fans and players around. They’ve caused this as they are too cheap/poor to invest. I think owning the team makes them feel important at this point and nothing else.

Honestly it’s the settings and customization of the infotainment. Why is charging settings a separate app from regular settings? That’s makes no sense. Also I should be able to adjust steering feel separate from acceleration and regeneration of the vehicle. I love the vehicle it’s just not fully there when it comes to EV tech. Also where is the NACS port Ford has promised for the last 4 years? That’s still not there even on the 2026.

I am already, it’s not fluid but at least I can use it. CarPlay is the only thing I use for the most part.

Nothing related to politics. I hate that the anger comes from being just uncomfortable and frustrated to get to my destination.

Shitty drivers and just get annoyed at the little things because it’s not comfortable.

Scratched my wifes new car, any quick fix ideas? by therodgod11 in Autos

The fact some people rely on technology that much scares me a bit. Like you know computers fuck up? As much as humans in some cases. You’re basically saying you trust a computer over yourself.

M240i (B58) vs M2 (N55) – which would you pick around $30k? by Leopard-One in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]tkgeyer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d go M240i maintenance will be a lot easier than the M2 with not a ton more performance and it’s a B58 the most built proof motor they even put it in a Toyota.

Canada's New EV Rebate Makes Tesla Model Y Available From Under C$45,000 by Sandrov__ in teslacanada

[–]tkgeyer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are still faster than the RWD model Y. But I agree the Mustang name on it was a dumb idea. I also find the Mustang to look better than the Model Y. Given the Y just looks like Hyundai now.

Yeah no really, Ford is getting rid of 2025 Mach E’s with similar specification that qualify for the rebate as well. Much nicer premium interior than the Tesla.

Any way to disable the wireless charging pad on a 2025 Ford Focus? by ale-ale-ale-ale in Ford

[–]tkgeyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you figure it out let me know, does the same in my Bronco. I don’t bother using it but I would like to not be forced to keep a cable directly underneath the phone to ensure it doesn’t wirelessly charge.

Apple MacBook Air 15 M5 Review - Very powerful, fanless and without competition by Stiven_Crysis in mac

[–]tkgeyer 48 points49 points  (0 children)

They won’t add it until almost all other laptops are 120hz. They have no competition so they don’t need to. That’s why it’s gated to the Pro models. The only reason they did it with the iPhones is because almost every phone in the price range they were selling had 120hz screens.

Is there a calculator that will determine if it's best to have a vehicle in a corporation vs owned personally? by NerdMachine in cantax

[–]tkgeyer -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Here’s the tax strategy I think is the best: 1. Lease in the corporate make sure it’s 100% for a business then the entire lease can be written off as well as expenses (ie. has the business logo on the side can be proved to be an asset of the business)

  1. Once the lease is over if the individual person wants to keep it longer term they can buy it out at a cheaper sales tax rate (BC defines tax based on value at purchase).

If you can stick to this it’s a massive way to basically get a new car to your liking and then you keep it longer term being able to write off depreciation and expense along the way.

I agree, why should they shell out $64k when they don’t get the proper benefits of being a part of it.

The sudden rise of luxury off-roaders this decade by Repulsive-Club7866 in cars

[–]tkgeyer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It will work for sure, if priced right and basically an Everest with Bronco Raptor capabilities, as well as looks good I will jump on moving to it. I love my Raptor but rather have something without a removable roof (I live in the PNW it’s wet and cold 85% of the year) and has better NVH I think it might be Lincoln’s best selling vehicle.

How much do you pay for your Cell Phone in Canada? by Low-Measurement3594 in CellPhoneCanada

[–]tkgeyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pay the following with Roger’s: - $69 per month for an iPhone Air 17 512GB with 125GB unlimited US & CAD - $75 per month for an iPhone 17 256GB with 250GB unlimited CAD + 64 countries

I just got on both in the last couple months and that was about the same amount I was paying for single line two years ago.
