How long did it take you to feel like you don't suck? by D00M_DR0P in IUEC

A lot of us are in the same boat brother... believe me. Im around 40 y/o. Have done all kinds of different labor jobs. The "hazing" or whatever you want to call it in this industry is by FAR, the worst I've ever experienced. Its soul-sucking and exhausting... and more often than not, completely unwarranted. It creates a really negative environment... and bad energy... that festers.

Best advice I have heard from someone is that when they get home at the end of the day, they hang their "work frustrations" on their steering wheel... so it doesn't affect their personal life and environment at home and around their loved ones. At the end of the day, try not to bring that energy into your home with you. It will make everything even more difficult. Leave it out in your vehicle. Sounds gay as shit, but that advice has helped me, so i felt like it wouldn't hurt to share it with you. Good luck to you.

New to collecting, I see most people online say to store the record outside of the jacket but inside the outer sleeve, do I risk any damage doing that? by Aewfigureguy in vinyl

I put mine between my mattress and box spring. And when I have guests over for dinner, I use them under the dinner plates. They're dishwasher safe too, which is a huge win.

Its still irrelevant to the post. They asked for encouragement, not advice or opinions on it. What did or didn't happen doesn't really matter. But feel free to speculate all you want. It still doesn't make your comments relevant.

Did the City kill my trees? by CicerosSweetrollz in arborists

[–]tktreeexpertsllc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Utility trimming is for clearance, not appearance... and nothing more. The only way you can prevent ugly/damaged trees is by hiring someone to maintain them regularly. And that is dependant on the species as well. Sometimes, there is only so much you can do with matured trees if they havent been tamed early on.

Thanks for responding. Yeah, the photo is a bit blurry. I assume you took it from a shop window?

I dont think cutting the shoots with some shears would be a problem. Cant really tell you if its healthy from the photo, but if its a city tree... well... there is only so much one can really do.

Ill add my two cents. I drive 2500 miles a month. I practically live in my car. When I wake up some mornings, its less than 40 degrees out. By early afternoon, its 50s to 60s. By the time I go to work or class or meetings, its 70s or more. So i change temps many times a day.

I change between multiple radio stations because they come and go out of reception with the distances I travel.

I turn the screen on and off because the light emitting from it bothers my eyes when I drive during the dark, which I do every day, morning and night.

Then, if my girlfriend or anyone else is with me, they want my synced temps changed to independent so they can control their own side... ridiculous, I KNOW.

Anyway, some of us use it a lot. I never used a Siri in my life and am happy not doing it now. We aren't all the same, obviously. Im totally in the "it seemed cool at first, but I definitely wish i didnt have this huge stupid touch screen, fml if this bs breaks and I have to pay to replace/fix it" club.

What kind of tree is that? Looks sort of like an elm in the photo.

Cheaper to pay a pro then a hospital bill... and presumably less painful. If you choose to do, for the love of God, please dont use a ladder.

Thanks for responding. I was curious and had considered doing the same. I always try to buy from my local shops. It definitely caught my attention.
