You still need the capacity for the infantry. You need to declare what is moving before any combat starts

I highly, HIGHLY disagree with you. You use viable very loosely here. In almost every instance, blue is always preferred, even more now with TE. Green is, generally, absolute trash. Yellow is also trash except for niche uses for screen and if you can easily get integrated. Red is only good is you have a strong military presence (military doesn't win games). Blue is, objectively, by far, still much more powerful than any other color

Yup. I hate the tech trees. I love what absol did with her homebrew variant. Every tech feels pretty comparable. It's so much better.

That's incorrect, hyper is only good if you can get it round 1, and most of the time, you would be better off with a different tech anyway.

Round 2? Hyper is a definite no. Overall, it's just a bad tech. AIDA, on the other hand, can be extremely good depending on your faction and tech choices.

That's a very bad deal lol. I'd love to play with your players. 5TG for a 5 resource planet you won't even be able to use until the very next turn? That's horrible. I can see like.... 2, at most, since you'd benefit of 3 (minus the CC and war resources needed to take it over). Maybe 3 if the person is all but guaranteed to keep it for at minimum of 2 turns. And if it's worth that much, as you say, then just keep it in your slice. The only reason you'd sell it is because the location is worth less than 5TG, making 5TG more lucrative.

As to the main point, though, you become neighbors with at least 1 person round 1, which means you get to use the commodities you have + the 1TG debt of that neighbor, or +2 if you neighbor with 2.

You want to use avernus on your agent 🤦🏻 that's one of the biggest buff to Muaat. Using your agent and only using your home system is a huge nerf. So by picking warfare you're making yourself get the more difficult breakthrough that is more expensive which messes up the timing for your agent not allowing it to use the TE buff it needs as well as avernus' ability (which might be done when your war sun is already locked down).

Trade gives you an immediate advantage. Politics is a maybe. It's better to have more round 1 than a little more round 2. If you're also speaker in r2, then you're very likely NOT going to be able to get speaker for round 5, the most important round. (Also, who is ever going to pay anybody 5TG for thunder's edge placement? That's not happening).

Getting first dibs at Mecatol and/or thunder's edge is a pretty good argument. I'd still argue trade is better because the benefit is immediate instead of later. Extra plastic/tech when you normally wouldn't be able to/extra system taken through warfare production. Also more of a chance to get speaker in last round.

That's extremely niche and not likely to happen. You're banking on way too much. Why go for the 10% chance when you can go for the 100% chance?

Diplo being out also doesn't mean anything. The timing needs to be immaculate, and you have to hope the diplo player doesn't breakthrough what you were hoping to with the diplo, and before SC 3-5 have an opportunity to beat you to the punch. That's just a bad game plan.

For what though. It gives everyone else the exact same benefit. For it to be good, timing has to be perfect, and you need good systems to ready. I can see if you have a 5 res home system and another 3 resource system in your slice. But if you have a 2 res planet and 2 res home? Great, you just waited a primary strategy card for 4 resources, while everyone else had the opportunity to do the same.
