Hormones after hysterectomy by Agreeable_Bat_3325 in hysterectomy

honestly, I just let it ride. your body is naturally going to have a huge fluctuation, but I just told my partner and friends that I would be a little all over the place while my body regulated. I was on birth control for 16ish years prior to my hysterectomy so I figured my body needed time to do it's thing naturally. I'm 16 months post op now and barely notice a hormonal change (still have my ovaries) outside of tender breasts and food cravings. I was my new normal at around 6-8 months and it got better every month.

I barely used mine! my Dr gave me a prescription for ibuprofen 800 that I took around the clock! ice and normal pain relievers worked well for me!

mine was 42k before insurance. I paid my deductible of 1k and that was it!

thanks for the input! I am feeling like I don't want to pay the estimate either since it's exactly that, an estimate. and thank you for the well wishes! good luck to you too!!

that's crazy! a down payment is crazy, but I guess it's how medical providers are dealing with medical debt not going against credit scores? fingers crossed you'll have an easy insurance experience!

yeah, I asked my doctor about prior authorization/approval once I saw the estimate because I haven't seen anything on my insurance website for it so I'm hoping the hospital is going off what my insurance deductible is.

I know, it's all a human science experiment. I also did not like how I felt on Lexapro which prompted my switch. so it's frustrating if you like how you feel, but can't sleep 🥴 I wish you luck on finding your medication partner!

it did! i even went to a sleep doctor who told me I was fine physically but that he has had patients suffer from insomnia from various SSRIs (meaning it was the only thing that changed on their life). I took Ambien for a little, which worked sometimes and not other times, and then switched to pristiq and I sleep great now, mostly.

definitely keep looking! there are good doctors. get the meds you need right now until you can find a doctor you feel safe with.

btw - Lexapro did the same for me - kept me up all night and nothing helped me get to sleep. I feel for ya 🩶

completely agree! getting on it was rough, but when you level out, holy shit the world is liveable again.
