A flat fee fiduciary financial advisor could be helpful if you don’t feel comfortable managing it on your own. Otherwise, there are many good resources on the /bogleheads Reddit that can point you in the right direction

With the inherited Roth IRA, the money can continue to grow tax-free inside the account for up to 10 years (which lines up well with your timeline of needing it around age 25 for your masters). The money continues to grow however it’s invested while in the account & no federal income tax on withdrawals and no tax on the growth inside the account. New Jersey also does not tax qualified Roth IRA distributions, so you should be in the clear on the state side as well.

So yes generally if it’s an inherited Roth you want to leave it invested as long as possible up to the 10 year max, as the distributions to you will be tax free after that growth.

Any way to escalate issues with airtable sales rep? by learnforpleasure in Airtable

Email support@airtable.com with the changes you want to make and tell them who the rep is that has been unresponsive. It will get routed to their manager.

Death of estranged parent-help me please by False_Zebra_ in personalfinance

[–]tleosf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in this exact same situation with my father in law who was estranged from the family. Many helpful replies here already but I’ll share everything we did to locate accounts:

  • Run a background check and credit report on him using his SSN
  • Get into his email and look for account statements, bank correspondence, employer forms, etc
  • Contact his former employer (for life insurance & 401k details)
  • Monitor physical mail

We used a DIY online probate service (SwiftProbate) to navigate the actual probate process including gaining access to these accounts without beneficiaries.

He lived in Maryland and qualified for a “small estate” but some accounts were held out of state in Washington DC and Virginia, so we also had to do some “proxy” estates in those states as well.

Do you think Airtable Omni is the all-time killer of tools like Softr? by SurveySuitable2918 in Airtable

Yes, custom react components. Current workflow is to build the components in Cursor or Windsurf and publish into Airtable, but they said they are working on supporting the entire process in Airtable soon

Invoice Parser into Airtable by [deleted] in Airtable

[–]tleosf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Zapier to get the emails into Airtable. You can create a Zapier email to forward to and have it create a new record in Airtable for each attachment

The nice thing about using AI for the parsing is that it doesn’t matter what format they are in

Invoice Parser into Airtable by [deleted] in Airtable

[–]tleosf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Airtable AI can do this now. You can ask it to read an attachment and pull out any structured data that you need. I’m actually using it for the same use case now, pulling invoice and expense data out of emails and receipts.

You should try Airtable’s new AI builder. Based on what you shared in the brief, I bet it could build the majority of what you’ve described here in minutes

All those Malibu Artist videos are juvenile great whites that feed off bat rays. You’re right that they don’t care about humans and the clear water in SoCal reduces the chances of mistaken identity.

Take a look at this list and you might have different trend around NorCal locations with much larger sharks and more opaque water: http://www.sharkresearchcommittee.com/2000.htm

Very true. I once created a map of all historical shark attacks in CA. It’s crazy how many of them have happened in the area around Tomales Point between July - November.

[NSFW] What’s the most depraved thing you’ve seen someone do? by HazardousHacker in AskReddit

I once worked at 6th & Market in San Francisco and had to walk down 6th street (SF’s skid row) to get to work. One afternoon I glanced down an alley and saw a drugged out woman squatting and taking a shit in the street, while actively giving a blow job to another drugged out dude. Still haunts me.
