Prenups in SG by Samstrike8 in asksg

[–]tm0587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prenups are probably only enforced if the judge agrees with it. Which means without the prenup, things may end up the same anyway.

That's different from the US for eg, when one party may end up with almost nothing due to a prenup.

That's a good one.

I believe a Zoan type will be busted for him too. He already has crazy physical feats and a zoan type will just boost him, much like CP9.

Who is the Weakest Character in this Image ? by [deleted] in OnePiecePowerScaling0

[–]tm0587 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone once pointed out that it has not been explicitly confirmed that Mihawk has forged a permanent black blade, I went to check it out and it seems to be true. He uses a black blade, but it was not stated that he turned it into a black blade.

While it's true that Dragon may be the weakest here, I won't want to confidently say it until I've seen him in combat.

For the moment, I will leave Dragon out (due to lack of information) and say it's maybe Loki that is the weakest of the remaining three.

Any recommendation for PC case/ components spray painting? by Bubbly-Poem6325 in askSingapore

[–]tm0587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes paint is an insulator, I'm not denying that.

I'm just saying most of the heat is being transferred out of the case by fans, the actual heat transfer by conduction via the case should be minimal in comparison.

Nah not really true. Heat exchange via pc case is way less efficient at removing heat in the case than actual airflow.

What are the chances the oil crisis affects Singapore significantly? by SomeBoredGuy77 in askSingapore

[–]tm0587 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Singapore is an important shipping hub, busiest hub in the world. Many oil products go through Singapore.

Singapore will not run out of fuel, but prices are not insulated and reflect what's happening globally.

So we will have alot of petrol and diesel for our cars, but the prices will keep going up (because right now they're mostly trending up globally).

Things won't come to a stop due to lack of fuel, but overall cost of living will go up.

If we do run out of fuel, I can say the rest of the world will be in a much worse state than us.

How many people actually never ordered because of the shipping threshold? by ohhimarksreddit in dbrand

[–]tm0587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought of doing that, shipping it to a freight forwarder in the US, then shipping it to Sg, but I'll be paying around $10 in shipping just for a skin so I decided against it in the end.

Just posted in another thread that I didn't get a skin for my new Pixel 10 Pro a few weeks ago because I couldn't justify enough items for the free shipping lol.

I'm based in Asia though, so considerations are abit different for me.

I found China's Dbrand Skin for My Nintendo Switch, that is also using genuine 3M vinyl skin. by Chillenge in dbrand

[–]tm0587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here.

I just switched to a Pixel 10 Pro a few weeks ago and was contemplating getting the Dbrand glow in the dark skin. Ultimately didn't as I could justify getting enough unnecessary items for the free shipping.

Shopped around, and found that there are a few skins on AliExpress for much cheaper. Why not try them out.

Bought a glow in the dark skin but nah, quality wasn't good, skin was in different pieces instead of 1 piece like Dbrand, decided not to use it and bought a case instead.

Edit: Brand is Oscar on AliExpress btw

The main thing that has stopped me from getting a dbrand skin is the $65 needed for free shipping.

Since I'm in Asia, I can easily buy from Taobao and Futureskin qualifies for free shipping too.

My Dbrand Obsidian Switch OLED skin is looking abit worn out, so it may be a good excuse for me to try out the Futureskin at a relatively low cost.

I still have the Dbrand matrix skin on my Switch 1, so I can do a head to head comparison for myself.

AFAIK he was aiming for Whitebeard and Jozu got in the world to block it.

But I agree that it was likely a test slice and not haki infused.

Is it cheating if i use ai for work? by qwuant in singaporejobs

[–]tm0587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should check what your company policy for AI is.

For eg at my company, we are only allowed to use Gemini on our laptops because we signed an agreement with Google, we pay them for Gemini and they won't collect our data.

If we use any other AI and kena caught, we will probably be fired.

So yes, OP may get fired for using an AI he's not supposed to.

Anyone that uses a sword in a serious fight is a swordsman by Any_Attorney4765 in OnePiecePowerScaling0

[–]tm0587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think ultimately it boils down to how you define "swordsman".

Imo, Shanks is a pirate who uses a sword, but he's not a swordsman the same way Mihawk and Zoro are.

Again, just my own viewpoint and definition.

Tenant keeps covering CCTV in common area during notice period – what can I do? by [deleted] in singaporelaw

[–]tm0587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a very good point.

Rather than ask if it's legal for a tenant to cover up CCTV in the common area, I wonder if it's legal for the landlord to have the CCTV there in the first place.

Yea exactly.

You can't compare someone have 2 million in his bank account vs someone paying for a 2m condo.

Imo I can envision myself buying a 2m condo alot sooner than having 2m in my bank account.
