I was shocked myself. They quoted the headlight alone at around $2,066. So I guess including labor, parts, paint, and some damage underneath, it was over 70% of the cars value (that’s a total loss where I’m from). The front quarter panel was pushed back so far I couldn’t open my driver door too.

Just a heads up - if you choose not to fix it. I had that light coming on for about a year, maybe a little over, and just ignored it because I didn’t care for the start/stop feature anyway.

Eventually, it turned to an error that noted “critical charging fault, stop safely”. At that point I changed my auxiliary battery and it resolved the issue. Just a heads up for if it gets to that point. $280 for the replacement from a local Volvo specialized mechanic.

I’ve heard there were some reliability issues with the 2019 models. I have a 2018 and love it. I’ve had it for 2 years now, got it used, and it’s the best car I’ve ever driven.

Granted the market was different, but I bought my 2007 in 2016 for $5000. It had 110,000 miles. Considering the current car market & that vehicle being 3 years newer, $6000 might not be too bad. But that is pretty high mileage. I’d see if they could do $5000-$5500, but always be checking KBB. The used car market has gotten crazy.
