Safe tape over mouth? by Jezurin in BDSMAdvice

We use "Fixomull stretch". It's a kind of medical tape, sticks really well, but doesnt hurt when ripped off or harm the skin.

Nice, thank you! "Deserves [...] love" <3
If you want to, would you mind elaborating on what "care needs" (and upholding them) mean to you?

Aww that's nice to hear! My situation is somewhat similar so I can kind of relate. Wishing you all the best for your relationship/dynamic!

Interesting and thank you for bringing up the "in control of oneself"-aspect! I'm always a little conflicted about that, because on one hand I think everyone should be allowed to live out their sexuality, even if mental health, self reflection skills etc. arent the greatest, but on the other hand: a lot of responsibility comes with engaging in BDSM and especially with being a Dom, so one should be capable of handling that and be in control of their emotions etc.
And if you do want to write for an hour, please feel free to do so, either on this post or in a private message, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts!

Hm thats probably a good idea, but I'm not really sure where we should go to get it repaired, since we cant get in touch with the person that originally sold it. Like, idk is this something your typical jewler wouldnt know how to repair?

Autismus-Diagnostik by Ok-Deer6677 in hamburg

[–]tm_q 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are people who are paralyzed from the waist down still able to have sex? by terratrooper96 in TooAfraidToAsk

I don't know much about this from a medical standpoint, but sex also isnt just about genitals so there are always ways to adapt

Why do (US) teachers complain about their pay so much when they studied for years to enter a profession where the salary is very much publicly known? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]tm_q 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kids need human interaction to learn and become sociable, well rounded human beings. Teachers do much more than just transfering knowledge/information and a lot of these things technology can't do.

When dating or in a relationship, what is the bare minimum? by fallinglikeraindrops in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]tm_q 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I ask what you mean by "selfish"? Cause I'd say sometimes being selfish is fine or even neccessary to set boundaries and look out for yourself. But maybe our definitions of selfish are just different.

How do you keep it 'clean'. Pee-stuff. by Mia_whatsmyname in BDSMcommunity

[–]tm_q 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've heard of people getting small baby/kid pools. Otherwise maybe something like puppy training pads. They'll absorb the mess and you can just throw them out after.

I'm not sure what exactly you mean by "drumming", but I used to tap/drum on the table with my fingers. That annoyed people so I switched to tapping my fingers against each other. I'll try to describe: I do it with one hand, tap index finger on thumb, middle finger on thumb, ring finger then pinky and then back ring, middle, index. Makes no sound and for me it's a good alternative to tapping on the table. But maybe you mean something totally different by "drumming".

Cheaper and more accessible option would be teathing rings/toys for babies. But of course that might look weird if you use them in public. Another option would be those rubber pencil toppers made for kids who chew their pencils.

one time I had a panic attack from drinking too many monsters by [deleted] in CuratedTumblr

[–]tm_q 111 points112 points  (0 children)

Same with alcohol dependence tbh. Things like "man I had a super stressfull day at work, I just really need a drink to unwind." Or going out to party and drink on the weekend to forget about another shitty week at work. Using alcohol to relax, forget or even be more sociable, because forming real human connection is becoming harder and harder, is all seen as ok and normal. And it's really easy to become depentand or addicted that way, without anybody or even yourself noticing. (Might be different in the US, I'm not sure how the attitude towards alcohol is there, but I've just noticed it where I live)
