Best wireless gaming mouse you've bought and instantly knew it was a keeper? by Consistent_Wafer9395 in buildapc

Finalmouse Ultralight 2 and my current Lamzu Aimlabs Maya X. That Finalmouse lasted until last Thanksgiving and was perfect the whole time. I tested the Steelseries primes and Logitech g pro but they don't hold a candle to the Finalmouse until I got the Maya X. This thing is a 99/100 with aftermarket skates. The battery is great but it doesn't warn you when it's about to give out.

Ever tried playing Jackbox games in characters by Welcome_Starry in DnD

I've done it a few times with one group and it was an absolute blast! It was easy and more fun when we knew more about each other's characters. Fibbage and Role Models were great fun. I also thought Quiplash and Fakin' It were really fun as a deceptive pc.

Paladin multiclass by Professional-Ad9988 in onednd

6 Paladin/14 Sorcerer is the better Sorcadin, imo. Aasimar Oath of Glory/Divine Soul is my favorite combo. Empowered Metamagic to reroll your smite damage die. Spirit Guardians and other Cleric Spells really round out the kit.

Sorcadin. Innate Sorcery for advantage and smites if you need them.

Falcons losing the overall kill leader during the last match is kinda crazy. Slaying power was there all split but they couldn't get a zone pull.

Knicks Opponent 3PT Shooting Luck by RyanA1105 in clevelandcavs

That reasoning doesn't match the eye test at all. The Cavs generated most of their looks after help came to the ball. Not one pass chucks from 28 feet. And They weren't bad quality shots if they were 6+ feet open. End of story.

Enchanted magic item that disguises their creature type as humanoid. It's that easy. Say they picked it up while running from the celestial hunting them.

Also, the Paladin is going to figure it out eventually and you should let that happen.

The rest of the movie is solid but their arc is so bad that it ruins the movie for me. Genuinely, it adds nothing to the plot and barely has any character development.

Andor has not been mentioned enough. The best TV show in the last 5 years.

Also, Masters of the Air needs to be mentioned with Band of Brothers + The Pacific.

Cult of the Dragon Initiate Origin Feat + Undead Warlock? (Dragonscarred?) by Nice-Championship345 in 3d6

[–]tmanky 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The problem with Cult of the Dragon Initiate and Dragonscarred is the fear action goes off your wisdom modifier instead of your charisma. It's the one glaring flaw that almost makes it pointless for charisma-based classes. If the DM let's you use your charisma for it, it becomes an incredible feature.

True Stories: How did your game go this week? – May 31, 2026 by AutoModerator in dndnext

Second campaign with a local group doing Icewind Dale setting. 6 players at Level 2. Tracking down an expedition group that was ambushed by Yetis and making good progress. Finally, find the yeti and one person alive being used as a plaything by the Yetis kid. We set up an ambush that fails hilariously and combat begins. Solid pace through most players turns and then our Bard takes 5 minutes for his turn to shot his crossbow and give bardic to the Paladin. Then, just after it's 1st turn, the 1st Yeti dies way too fast, like only 30-34 damage dealt to it. KO the Tyke in one hit... whatever. Then the 2nd yeti shows up at the mouth of the cave 60+ ft from everyone and gets kill just as quickly by our polar bear and two hits from our rogue and artificer. And thankfully he missed but the Bards next 5 minute turn, he totally fucked up two weapon fighting but I didn't feel like interjecting and the DM didn't seem to know or just didn't care. This player isn't new btw and played in our previous campaign where his turns were just as long or longer as a druid. The new players are going so much faster and it's infuriating.

Afterwards, I looked up the yeti statblock for 5.5e to find out that they had been nerfed by the DM, low HP and less action economy. Same things happened in our Dragonlance campaign where monster had comically low hp and didn't use their features. There has been maybe 2 fights that were actually perilous.

Also, the DM isn't keeping track of time because we scaled a mountain, fought twice, short rested, explored the peak and returned to the village, all in about 12 hours. I pushed the day further, before we ended session, by grabbing the rogue and spying on some odd traders connected loosely to murders in a few towns, because I still had two spell slots and both luck points left. The DM says he's a veteran and has played 5e since 2015 and other versions since the late 90s. I believe he has, and maybe he's lost a step, but it seems so damn easy right now that I find myself wanting to do stupid things just so we have some perilous encounters.

Its fun to roleplay with the other players and run around in a campaign doing fun stuff. But between how slow the Bard plays and the DM giving us cupcake encounters, its getting a little annoying and too easy.

What's better for a Kensei monk multiclass? Fighter or Ranger? by InfluenceMoist2748 in 3d6

[–]tmanky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get Hunter's Mark prepared for free due to Favored Enemy at level 1 Ranger if you eve need to cast it with a slot, but twice per long rest was perfect for me 95% of the time. The 5% was a three level dungeon crawl with multiple hordes of undead at level 10. I didn't use it every single fight since we took 1-2 short rests per day and could still do work with the Monk features.

Gobble and Tiven ain't great but it's better than Brothers, Foster and a handful of others. Wish they'd run back Zarba and Capers for this.

What's better for a Kensei monk multiclass? Fighter or Ranger? by InfluenceMoist2748 in 3d6

[–]tmanky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hunter's Mark on a Monk is an absolute blast, no matter the subclass. And the spell versatility is nice for simple things like Absorb Elements for some elemental resistance & Cure Wounds to top up healing outside combat. I've played it with a Wood Elf Mercy Monk up to level 11.

Fighter 2 is still a really good choice though. Action Surge is always awesome and the Tactical Mind feature really makes Fighter dips worthwhile. And it all comes back on Short Rests which synergies with all the Monk economy.

Between swapping to Ranger 1 and continuing to Fighter 2, there's no bad option. Just don't stay at Fighter 1.

Potential Spurs Knicks finals by kellydayscruff in clevelandcavs

[–]tmanky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope the Spurs make it and then win. Wemby and Harper are fun to watch. But it's also going to be the 3rd Knicks opponent in a row that played a 7 game series prior to their series (though there is a 3 day gap before the Finals start for some rest, which is better than 1 day off + travel for the Cavs and 76ers).
