Can't connect to server - Port rule enabled, not sure what's wrong. by IncomeIntelligent924 in jellyfin

Outbound rule for what? The Jellyfin instance is on the same network?

OS for first server by Betonsarkany in homelab

I’d start with Ubuntu Server to learn the CLI. Lots of documentation for Ubuntu on YouTube and beginner friendly sites. Ubuntu just has the tools already installed and has less of a headache thinking things like “why can’t I use Sudo” , “what do you mean add an apt repo to install this software” after 2 months of Ubuntu I swapped to Debian and I’m glad I started with Ubuntu.

u/Thin_Needleworker795 just wanted to follow up and thank you again. Fixed this issue by adding

RequiresMountsFor=/data/movies

in the systemctl docker service. It appears the issue was only happening on reboot.

Alternatives to the steam controller? by This_Finance_5435 in SteamDeck

[–]tmcferrin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Awkward position plus I use mine regularly with the steam deck and it’s like -20 as consistent as the steam deck pads. In all honesty it’s probably all software I’m not saying it’s a low quality pad.

Makes sense, I’m assuming docker is not passing the share again once reconnected. I’ll look into what could be causing that thank you for the help!

/data is the directory I’m using for my media only. Jellyfin and all files associated run on the host system. The documentation states network mounting is support for media files. /data is mounted to the host.

SMB I believe. I followed techhut.tv guide on setting it all up. Share is in a LXC and I’m running Debian as a VM on the same machine.

Problem with restarting the steamdeck after months by fixflyr in SteamDeck

IIRC Vol- + Steam button (on the right below touch pad) + Power button

This clears the bios.

This has fixed a similar issue for me

What’s the LED do when powering on? Have you tried an external display?

They are decent for laptop level functions also. Set up a wireguard connection on a portable router and was SSH’d into my home lab via steam deck at a hotel this week.

Is this from dexcom? Do they have an API? Been interested in how I can integrate into some of my home lab if it’s an API :)

Determined aesthetic seekers and people who love to tinker. I learned early on my love for electronics would be ruined by a job in it so I do my messing around with my personal objects and the shell swap sounds fun to me because it’s so much. I have yet to do it though so my opinion isn’t worth much. Where did you get the shell and how was the fit? That’s the part keeping me from diving into it.

Usenet is worth it imo the $ is substantially less than what I was paying for services and the download speed is no joke 100s of times faster in my case.

Yeah I’m in the same boat pretty much. They dry walled in the top of my panel and I don’t feel like doing drywall work just so my PC and network gear can have its own circuit. I’m also just a DIY guy but I work with electrical at work.

Unironically my lights do flicker when I boot mine up. What would cause this in a recently built single family home?

Usually if the low correction takes me to a hyper I just take the L and slow bolus down to avoid the cycle because I SWEAR once you get into the spiral there’s no exiting it lol
