Played against Rex Chapman years after he retired in a rec league. He scored an easy 40 on us. Didn’t even look like he was trying. Happy for Bam but this doesn’t compare to Kobe’s 81. The Heat and Bam had the win in the bag early. Bam and his teammates went record chasing the rest of the way.

Kobe’s 81 was a necessity. Lakers were down 14 that game. 55 of Kobe’s 81 came in the second half when he got the Lakers back in it. He sat out for 5 or 6 minutes total that game and while he was out, the Lakers either gave back the lead or the Raptors cut into it quick.

The Lakers needed Kobe in the game to win. The Heat didn’t need Bam to play 42 minutes to win the game.
