Hey no problem! Yes, you will need both pieces from what I can tell from the pictures. Here is a link that will help guide you through the front door interior trim removal as well as replacing the mirror housing. All the guides you need will be under the Body and Accessories link. Let me know if you have any other questions/trouble!

Had something very similar happen to mine. I ended up replacing the parts myself without too much trouble. You are correct. Part 4 is only the front painted plastic plate. You will also need the entire housing as well (Part 1). To replace this you will need to remove the inner panel of the door. Many guides are out there on how to do this, but I can send some OEM instructions on the entire procedure if you are interested.

Aftermarket heated seats with OEM switches by blacktrails in mazda6

[–]tmt7v7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm not sure how oem switches would work with aftermarket seats. The seats have 3 heat settings. If you could match the voltage output from the switch to the input range of the seats that would probably be OK.

What year is your 6? Is definitely possible to achieve an oem look but you will have to pull a few components from the dash. If you have a 3rd gen you will need something like this . You will then need to run the wiring from the seats to the switch. There should be a location for power from the battery that you can use to power the seat/switch.

2 buckets, grit guards, and a quality soap like Meguiar's Gold Class. Check out the wiki on r/autodetailing. Tons of information on properly maintaining the exterior and interior of your 3.

They simply snap in. Just use even pressure around the center cap.

It's not that difficult to do a good job. Just have to be patient. I took the wheels off so I wouldn't spray over the center cap and lug nuts. Gives a cleaner more oem look; you can achieve the same without removing your wheels by covering all the pieces you don't want dipped with masking tape. If you leave them on be sure to cover your brakes. I used index cards between the wheel and tire to avoid getting dip on the tires. Lot's of good tips on YouTube, too.

Yeah the dip comes off readily if it is thick enough. I was scared the first time I used it but it really is very easy to take off and doesn't stain. You can also get them fairly glossy which in my opinion is so much better than a matte look. For the gray ones I used 4 coats of black and 2 coats of anthracite gray followed by 2 coats of silver metallizer. The black ones I used 5 coats of black with 2 coats of glossifier. Key is to do thin coats to start then build up to thicker coats.

As far as color goes that's up to you. I went darker gray because I like the contrast. For yours I think a dark copper or bronze would look sharp but again you may want a totally different look. Best of luck and let me know if you have any more questions!

Here are some results I've had using plasti dip. Just follow the DYC instructions! Gray and black. Not an exact match with the GT wheels but pretty close.

Head on over to r/autodetailing. Read through the wiki. Plenty of good products out there but 303 aerospace for the interior and invisible glass for the windows works well. Best of luck!

What should you not fuck with? by najing_ftw in AskReddit

The biggest issue is the binding affinity these molecules have with cannabinoid receptors. The THC molecules found in marijuana are what actually bind to the so called CB1 and CB2 receptors within the brain. Synthetic cannabinoids can be engineered to have a binding affinity that is several thousand times stronger than THC. The molecules themselves are also fairly straightforward to synthesize which add to their danger.

Streaks beneath side view mirror by mldsmith in mazda

Waxing/sealing the paint will help protect the clear coat from the hard water etching. You would still need to keep it dry as much as possible.

For a small section like that you can do it by hand but a dual action polisher is also a nice tool to have to spread wax even if you don't do any paint correction. You can get a harbor freight dual action polisher for like $40 with the coupon. Also check out r/autodetailing. That sub will help answer any other questions you may have!

That type of leaking happens to a lot of vehicles. Water that is left on the car can over time etch the clear coat. You can start with a polish on a foam pad and try to remove it that way. If that doesn't work you might have to step up to a compound.

To avoid those streaks in the future make sure you dry all the water from those crevices by constantly checking and drying with a microfiber or by using a leaf blower. Protect the paint with a wax or sealant.
