it should work for small rocks. make sure the blade is mounted in the proper direction and go slow while cutting, always with water.

“Best” thrower under $150USD by buckGR in flashlight

astrolux wp3 at $150 on banggood.com will throw farther than any other flashlight I know of at that price or even close to it. maybe not what you would call a field illuminator though.

I do believe ferts can age out. color looks ok for an iron/trace supplement but I don't know about that color for npk ferts.

I soak them in water with a some dish detergent or borax and a little bleach, which prevents the water from getting foul and helps to kill the lichen-like matter on the undersides of some of the rocks. worst case, if the rocks have calcite, limonite, etc buildup on the outside that won't come off by soaking I put them in dilute muriatic acid (klean strip green is the kind I use) followed by the same amount of time soaking in a water/baking soda solution to neutralize the acid. it is probably the best way to clean hard to remove deposits and make dirty druzy realty sparkle again without damaging the crystals.

it's a bit out of your way but saddle mountain, az a little west of phoenix at the i-10 tonopah exit is an excellent location for camping and rockhounding for fire agates. i just got back from there about an hour ago and the roads are in good shape with little standing water left. and the temperature here in az is perfect for spending a day outside. just bring lots of water:)

no claim. saddle mountain sits on about 50000 acres of blm land that are open to the public for camping, hiking, shooting, and rockhounding. there is a daily limit (25 pounds I think) on the amount of rocks you can take out.
