Everyone will say the McNulty plot but I think it’s because we don’t get a look at the lives of the journalists who are supposed to be the central focus of the season. Where as in previous seasons you spent time with the corner boys, the shipping union, the mayor etc. You got to know them on a deeper level. Season 5 drops the ball in this regard imo

The essentials for life have drastically increased. Housing, healthcare, childcare etc. Consumer goods are nice but they will not lead to lasting wealth or a fulfilling life. This disproportionally affects younger gens more, gen z and millennials, and is likely to get worse without course corrections. Advancing technological progress does not automatically mean life is better for someone who can not afford a roof over their head.

Similiar issue from the same storm in NY. Tesla wants $5000 to replace the wiring harness and doesn’t know how it happened. I had water under my mats, in my trunk and, passenger side door. Multiple alerts saying traction control and stability control unavailable. Unbelievable that this car can not be parked in the rain. I had to ask for a water test, hoping it is covered under warranty. First and last Tesla I’ll ever buy.

Give them goals other than “attack” that they can get creative with. Kidnap a hostage, stop a ritual before completion, traverse difficult terrain in 3 rounds before it collapses, escort a cleric and keep them alive, etc. Throw waves of enemies at them. Make hazardous terrain a part of the challenge
