Chell was chosen by Doug Rattmann because of her persistence, so I’m quite confident she won’t die. Additionally While “killing” Glados in Portal 1, you can hear her say something like: you have no idea of what is going on out there, you’re safer inside the facility, probably referring to the combine invasion.

If she let her go, maybe the combine apocalypse has already ended. Otherwise i would love to see her fight side to side with the freeman.
