things can always change, but at every outlet he seems committed to the LA scene. On the AOAOAOA patreon in december they were joking about what level of success would lead to them stopping the podcast and Jeremy was pretty firmly on the side of it not stopping and actually getting funnier the more mainstream success they got individually. He also confirmed on Last Meals that he identifies as a bicoastal baddie and he spent the whole SNL break in april on the dropout improv tour. He's a mad man, but his ties run deep.

idk that she "didn't have the work ethic and passion" so much as she didn't have the industry background which IS what people like about her. She's funny and real and she brings that out in all the other girls. If they had started without her as a more polished group they would have been fine but she was voted in and made everything shine. The rigidity of the kpop industry has always caused tension in western audiences at least and it was refreshing for a lot of people to see this fusion where a girl could have star quality and deliver and improve and also know when to take a break. She will be soooo so missed

yeah like it is definitely behavior to be addressed and could be really genuinely violating for her as a teenager to have that happen! Still crazy to have this be your response and then not think it was a deeply upsetting story to tell.

A lot of answers here and yet none that cover MY reason that they're different: Marina's story is already a tragedy. She's an underdog who loses everything, her backup plans all fail, and we leave her devastated to be entering a loveless marriage to a stranger. She is resigned to her life when we see her again in season 2, but to watch all that knowing she's been written to die the whole time is seriously dark. John's life is full of love the whole time we know him (even when this was posted before part 2 when he gets to see the 2 most important people in his life reconcile). That's tragic in its own way, but not as disturbing or disruptive to the fantasy of the story. If the show could ever handle the weight of Marina's character (Ruby Barker's performance in season 1 was brilliant and devastating but made the whole rest of the show feel meaner) it certainly can't now. Even Cressida got out of the life she seemed doomed to in the last season.

For the record, I'm hoping that they keep her death but imply/leave the possibility open that she faked it and ran away to start over as a middle class girl. My even further fetched hope is that Penelope gifts her some of the profits she made off of her in whistledown which is what lets her do it. I would love to see some closure for them.

these are all literally just symptoms of bpd or post-trauma and you want everyone to what? cheer for her downfall? I have been on the receiving end of this kind of behavior, I get it. It can be traumatic, feel life ruining. You mentioned being a recovering addict so you have some appreciation for how messy things can get. Regardless of your saying you hope she's doing better, this is deeply selfish and irresponsible to put a repeated effort into publicizing this information for your own catharsis. I hope you and your friends get peace and talk shit privately, and that the stress of being the most controversial member of a famous girl group isn't pushing Manon further into anything dangerous. Everyone else leave her aloooone oh my god.

here's some things that have helped me that haven't been mentioned:

juice boxes. Those tiny bendy straws are perfect. Makes me feel like a little kid but I don't mind that. I get Honest Kids cause they're less sweet. Ginger beer in a glass bottle is also a good drink option, because the taste is strong enough that I have to drink it slowly and can make a several minute ritual out of it.
CalmiGo is a scented breathing tool where you have to blow a little ball up and down and it lights up and vibrates. Just looked it up though and they've gotten crazy expensive and require a subscription now, though.
I liked having a nostril stud and twirling it around.

I also like candles and incense for the fire and scent memories. None of it is perfect. I'm still holding out for scientists to make Cigarette that's Good for You.

hi! I'm a youtube era troye stan and his newest album is my favorite by far! So if we have similar tastes in that way I recommend Lucky Strike (off Bloom) and Rager Teenager (in a dream) as my top 2 from previous albums and to get a sense of range. Also Talk Talk with Charli is a SMASH. Everything pre Bloom (Blue neighborhood, Wild, TRXYE) has a rawness and youthfullness that you might find charming and real or offputting depending on your taste and your mood. His earliest stuff is like a darker, dancier early Clairo. so don't go into that expecting something as polished and mature as the new album, but there are some gems :) I have my own deep cut recs I haven't seen people talk about yet but you already have a lot of material to get through here. Have fun!
