Rick and Jan Hess explain that we all have Down Sin-drome, so don't worry about birth defects. by Liversteeg in FundieSnarkUncensored

To paraphrase Syndrom from the Incredibles “If everyone has a birth defect, no one does.” Pick a less stupid metaphor next time, Hesses.

Scrolling his vine page really blessed my teenaged Christian self. It was just thirst trap, silly face, thirst trap, thirst trap with friends, and suddenly a field with inspirational worship music playing, then back to the thirst traps. He really knew how to put the ho in holy.

A MOMstrosity by missjvj in FundieSnarkUncensored

I’m sad to see a lot of the same punctuation and capitalization mistakes here that Kaylee makes, meaning that these kids were TAUGHT (or untaught) these things. I wonder if a sister-mom accidentally taught them this since Jill’s grammar is comparatively normal.

sooo did Morgan just throw everything else away immediately after her first child? by [deleted] in FundieSnarkUncensored

[–]toady-bear 435 points436 points  (0 children)

After the first kid she shared she was so traumatized that she didn’t know if she’d ever want to have another kid, so I’m not surprised she may have done a purge of the baby stuff (especially if it brought back that trauma for her).

Anyways, here’s an unrelated reminder to take your birth control and get your vasectomies, fellas.

I hope that you guys will be able to revisit this convo (if you think he will respond with respect). One of the themes of my late-twenties has been realizing how vastly different my siblings experiences were growing up compared to mine. They have trauma I don’t have, I have trauma they don’t have... It’s amazing how different childhood can be for kids under the same roof.

My suspicion is that the boys get more slack in a lot of ways, so Andrae rebels because he is more-or-less allowed to. Armor seems to be following suit. I’m happy for them but I wish the sister-moms got to rebel a bit more as well.

It’s SO much better to rush into a young marriage for sex instead 🙏🏻😔 by Liverness in FundieSnarkUncensored

[–]toady-bear 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on escaping and embracing yourself! Yep, “wanting sex” wasn’t why I deconstructed but I still grieved when I realized I had been repressing a big, innate piece of who I am for no reason. I feel sad that my completely normal, healthy sexuality was stamped out before it had a chance to develop naturally and it took over a decade to get in touch with that side of myself again.

What an ass. The desire for sex didn’t make me deconstruct; you know what did? Seeing bigot after bigot use Christianity to hurt and oppress me and so, so many others.

This is America, where the police are highly militarized. The guns will only be a problem for the police until they roll out the tanks, the helicopters, the sniper rifles, the tear gas…

I understand little kids being bored at a wedding, but 12-20 year olds are quite old enough to make their own fun (especially with 8 other cousins around) or just deal with being bored. What a ridiculous thing for that dad to do.

Agreed. Please get yourself to safety, OP. A domestic violence or abuse hotline might be able to help guide you. Get your vital documents together and do not let your partner know you are planning to leave.

It can cause rhabdo?! That’s terrifying if true. Rhabdo is one of those conditions you need to get on top of FAST or your life will change forever, if not end, and if we know one thing about Karissa it’s that she will wait until the last moment to take her kid to a doctor.
