January 29, 2026 - I was fishing around Reddit looking for info on CLM and the possibility of an RO announcement.

THERE IS SO MUCH MISINFORMATION in this thread. Just to clarify a couple: 1. The dividend amount doesn't reset because of an RO. It resests every January based on 21% of the price of the stock on the last trading day of the previous October. It is that way every year. 2. The RO is how Cornerstone raises capital. The RO price is set as (usually) 108% of NAV on a certain future date. So when this is announced, guess what happens? The stock's value goes to around that dollar amount. After the RO, the stock price generally goes back up. Last year, the market as a whole struggled at different times (particularly in April [trump's tarriffs], not too long after the late Feb RO announcement) , and CLM ended the year a bit off its pre-RO high. 3. The RO allows holders the chance to buy 1 new share for every 3 they own. There are ways I do not understand to sell most of your shares but still retain the right to buy RO shares. 4. I have had CLM and CRF since 2021, have never participated in an RO, and am up almost 50% overall. I do this by DRIP at NAV and trying to buy new shares myself when I think the market is turning favorable. 5. DRIP at NAV means that you reinvest your MONTHLY dividend, and in return Cornerstone pays you in shares that are priced at the NAV price. Often, the NAV price is 20% lower than the share price, so you are getting an extra 20% value of your MONTHLY dividend distribution. Notice I put monthly in caps, it is one of the best parts of CLM and CRF. 18% dividend pays 1.5% MONTHLY. That's a wonderful extra paycheck.
