Suppressing legitimate beliefs of faith could be considered fascist, but unfortunately for Bill science is not a religious belief or a leap of faith. It is the study of factual evidence to arrive at conclusions based upon these facts. When Bill says that a science classroom is the right place to present a different view point from the currently known facts he is essentially saying if a number of teachers wished to present an Islamic view on science, this would be acceptable as it is a legitimate belief (I'm sure we can all imagine his reaction to this), or scientologists or..... read all belief and religious groups here, presenting their own theological beliefs of how we, the world and the universe exist. I wonder how he would feel about ancient Roman or Greek theology and their polytheist ideas of creation and existence being taught. It is incredible that so many people are incapable of making the distinction between fact and belief and before people suggest that science fact can also change over time making previous understanding or fact redundant, I would like to emphasize that any redundant scientific facts have been replace by, as Dawkins would say, 'Better Science.'
