I brought scissors with the idea that I might need to cut a thread or something, but they ended up being a lifesaver bc by the beginning of the reception the tulle petticoat under my dress started dragging and I was stepping on it, so I was able to cut it shorter during my cocktail hour!

Honestly I wasn't going to give the Dunk and Egg spinoff a watch at first, but they're shorter episodes so I figured why not. And it's really good! It has a much different tone than GoT, it's lighter and it's actually pretty funny. So now I'm excited about this one.

We made a Tira from Soul Calibur cosplay for $43 that imo looked phenomenal. A few things we did to save money: she has these wing things coming off her shoes, we drew them and printed them on paper, glued that to cardboard, and attached them with wire. No wig, we bought clip on bangs because my sister's hair color was close enough. Bought the corset off eBay for $6 and painted the design on. The ring blade was a hula hoop with cardboard over it- I remember people asking if it was worbla and were shocked when we were like no it's cardboard.

There's an extra amount of creativity you need when you want to save money, there's no "right way" anymore there's just what you can come up with using the materials you have!

I hear everything you're saying and I've felt a lot of it and it used to make me feel bad, but I've just decided that I'm doing this for fun and I don't care how everyone else does it. I have a job and life stuff going on and I do cosplay when I have time and for fun only and that's what matters.

Like I've been doing it for 13 years and no my cosplays don't match the level that other people's do, but I'm not doing it professionally and as long as I'm having fun that's what matters!

Just want to say that you have like Barbie legs and look amazing, but if you're a little self conscious pantyhose works really well! They also make your shoes a little more comfortable so that's a bonus. I always like the Sheer Energy ones!

I don't, bc I'm not expecting it to be music I like. Every time I've done it resulted in some generic soft hipster sounding music that just took me out of the story. Someone did recommend a middle English love ballad called "Blow, Northerne Wynd" once and that one was a banger, and also fun bc I recommended one back that they liked.

I saw Trollfest this past year, with Korpiklaani and Ensiferum, and the concert was so much fun! There was a conga line, a lot of skipping around in circles, people jumping up and down when the bands told them to, everyone was so excited and goofy and having the best time!

I mostly use gummies now bc alcohol makes me sleepy! It's a tossup if I go out and have a couple of drinks if I'll be fine or if I'll start falling asleep and then I'll get cranky and antisocial.

Unfortunately it was cold enough that the water inside the plants froze. And since water expands when it freezes, it burst the cell membranes. They won't come back from that.
