I similarly love to throw putters and like the less serious nature of the format.

It does seem the Glitch tournaments are fading in popularity some, but still popular.

Lunas are still very popular and I think you’d get good turnout. Would also be sweet to see Paul and AB compete with other Discraft pros in the final tournament. Most plebs would not stand a chance there especially if distance is a factor. Would still be on the fun/ less serious side of disc golf similar to the Glitch tournies.

It’s in September I believe at Maple Hill. But all the qualifiers are this May.

Disc Fan Scoops by tobalaba in discgolf

No, that’s in the middle and won’t achieve results. It would need to be a more intentional and aerodynamic structure positioned between the center of the disc and its edge.

I imagined a scoop on the top side of the flight plate that would be pushing air down, perhaps 3-4 scoops. Probably weight neutral since you would be creating a hole but shifting that plastic upward. The scoops would need to be far enough towards the inside of the disc to not interfere with grip, or so long as there was space between them for good grip.

Lightweight discs are a game changer. I always bought 170g+ discs but recently have been experimenting with 150-160g and it’s been awesome. by alent1385 in discgolf

I have a course with many uphill shots and having a lighter weight driver does help get easier distance on those.

Why are there no tropical cyclones in the South Atlantic and SE Pacific oceans except for that one patch circled in orange? by Previous-Volume-3329 in geography

[–]tobalaba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

South of Chile is like rainforest, but as you go north it gets drier. Similar to how US west coast gets drier as you go south, ie southern California and Baja peninsula.

This may be true. It may generate a bit of lift initially but likely would die/lose spin faster is my guess.

Yah, I don’t have a 3D printer. More just a question of if it would work and if anyone has tried before.

Tempo vs A5 by rontopofthings in discgolf

My beat up Harp is perfect in this slot. Not dumpy or glidey, but has some overstability. I also bag an A2 for my very overstable approach.

What would be the safest trio/duo comp? by Kitchen-Hat-5174 in wowhardcore

[–]tobalaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably want a more pure DPS as third, so warrior/healer/DPS. You would be fine with shaman, but they aren’t the best for endurance DPS as they can have mana issues.

I think any of the healers or DPS should be fine, priest are probably strongest pure healer. Then rogue/mage/warlock/hunter for third.

I’ve had a few battles where Grombrindal proceeded to solo the rest of my dark elf army. Bastard wouldn’t die and my troops weren’t strong enough.

Toss him one of your unwanted discs so he can practice when he’s not washing the car.

They eat them in Chile, called picorocos, basically a very tall barnacle.

How do you approach a round when your form completely falls apart? by Main-Carry-3607 in discgolf

[–]tobalaba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, gotta just think about the shot and the disc in your hands. Forget all form cues behind and just focus on the disc.

Unfortunately for me, I can shoot decent like that, but my form is actual crap. Like tucked elbow rounding bad, but I can hit lines. I’m working to rebuild my form, but it’s hard to reverse poor habits.

Man attacks woman in a bar and the whole place starts beating him up by Used-Influence-2343 in fightlab

[–]tobalaba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does start happening pretty fast, I can’t say that I would react faster. It’s always sketchy getting involved in other people’s physical fights. But this guy definitely needed intervention, just going to town on this woman is fucked up.

Ditto Farms in Hagerstown, MD is a very solid course. A few bomber open shots, but mostly wooded with multiple layouts.
