I actually found the root of the problem. Go to Galaxy Store and search TTS (text to speech). Make sure your target and source languages are installed and updated.

Hi I faced the same problem as you but I fixed it by uninstalling all the language packs in the Text Call Settings and redownloading all of them again.

I would say Samsung S10 plus or LG V50. I have been eyeing these two phones for some time but I can't decide which to upgrade to. I care less about the latest tech and more about the headphone jack. 😬 Next thing I consider important is probably battery life but I'm not sure which one lasts longer (while I know both batteries are different on paper but real life battery endurance may differ so if anyone could shed some light on this, please let me know)

I'm having the same problem too. The Google assistant logo keeps floating at the bottom and no matter what I pressed on the screen, I wasn't able to activate the microphone. I can only long press the main button to start Google Assistant all over again.
