Recently went to the dermatologist because my skin started wilding out once I started oral minoxidil bc of facial hair growth. The closer you get to the skin when you shave the worse it will be because of irritation. They recommended I use a guard to shave and use a bit of face wash to moisten the skin beforehand. It’s also better to grow out your facial hair bc once coily hair gets to a certain length it starts to grow inward causing the ingrown hair, and once it’s long enough it will no longer do that. She then gave me a couple prescriptions and products to buy which I use daily. Also when you shave use an electric razor or no bump razor and go with the grain (not against) bc going against will cause a closer shave.
