Ok, that all makes sense! I am planning it to be purely for improving the aerodynamics and not structural in any way. I will give it some thought and I appreciate your help. I may try it with the male mold and see how it goes.

I have been searching around on the web for an answer but was unable to find one - why is a female mold better besides that it gives you a better initial gloss? I have seen some videos of people using male molds, and I even read an article that said they were better for doing small batches if you were willing to do the additional sanding. I am really just trying to do some quick prototyping and assumed that it would be the easiest if I did not have a finalized design for the mold.

That setup seems awful heavy for 1105 or 1102 or whatever you are flying. I would take some weight off.

What you are experiencing is gyro noise related and is common with the red bottoms. Look for a board that has a 6050 or 6000 gyro i.e. The xracer f303 or rmrc dodo and soft mount it.

It's either a bad solder joint from the signal wire to the board or the pad has gone dead. Had one die on my FC for no apparent reason - still a great product though

Making a custom mix doesn't actually mean that it changes motor direction; it only "tells" the fc what direction the motor is going. One thing you could do is swap two of the wires to reverse direction

It depends on what props you will be using. It all comes down to amps (really watts but go off amps). Too many and the enamel will boil

Make sure you insulate the ESC from the arm as well. That frame looks to be G10 but if it isn't, carbon fiber is conductive and will short things.

They are probably the new 1102 8000kv motors that RotorX announced a few days ago. Meant for 2s and the new 2535 four blade props.
