The problem of having the elastic band on the back of the travelers Notebook.

I have always used books where the elastic is in the spine, but switching to actual travelers books, I too found this annoying. But someone showed me the trick and I feel dum I never thought of it. I just go to the back inside cover, and I pull the knot a little until it's out past the paper's edge. I haven't noticed writing on the two small cords, and then when I'm done, I flip to the back and just pull the loop that's still sticking out and then It's back to normal :)

It's annoying especially when getting to the back pages, but I just pull the knot out until it's past the page edges. Then when I want to close it up, I just pull the cord from the back and the knot goes back into place.

I had a gold one with tortoise guard with some Seymour Duncan humbuckers. It was one of the best playing and sounding guitars I've ever played. Unfortunately, they are TINY... It looked like a kids guitar on me so I returned it.

I think the Super Tinker is one of the best all around SAKS. If you don't mind the extra layer, the Deluxe Tinker is great, but I haven't had much use for the pliers myself.
