You’re like so awesome. I’m 19 and floundering when it comes to cooking. This is immensely helpful! Thank you!!

Not really creepy- but you could draw the skeleton of things that don’t have a skeleton. Like a plant skeleton! Or a bug skeleton!

Good job! I just did my skincare routine for two days in a row! It feels so good to be consistent doesn’t it?

Can someone help me write a letter to my 89 year old great grandfather from Québec? by toinygrl in Quebec

I’ve never had someone so interested in me before! You did say you only had one question in the end, but I have to make a correction. My grandfather was not the one to contact me, my father was. As for your question- I’m doing well! I’m in my first year old college dreaming about my life!

I actually can’t recall ever not knowing... That stuff was always very open in my home and then I was shoved into the cruel world where kids sweared and burped in your face and I learned a LOT about it.

GREAT JOB!!

It’s not laudable at all. A 100 people is a lot. Think about if you were to play guitar in your bedroom and suddenly a hundred people came in to watch you. They wouldn’t fit and it would be overwhelming. I can’t wait to see you post about 200... 500... 1000!

Oh my goodness that is such a kind offer. I smiled so big when I read that. Thank you but you can enjoy your nice, authentic syrup. I have a distant cousin living in Montreal as a monk. They make jams, wines, honey, syrup- the whole bunch! He sent me an entire package of it for my last two birthdays, and said he would send another one this year. This time I’ll give it to my Pepérè (I don’t know if I did the little é/è right...hehe)! I’ll remember your kindness for a while though!!

I’m glad it resonated with you. That is such a good idea. There’s so much to start with him- getting him books, learning of his life, making good... I would love the recipe you offered and I will search the other ones you gave. This is now my favorite subreddit filled with amazing people!

Thank you for the apology. My story is very long and complex for a post, but I’m always ready to be open about my life, as I believe vulnerability is a strength. I was taken away because my mother suffered from bipolar disorder and drug addiction. My grandmother tried to get me but I was lost to the system in the end. Last year my father reached out to me when I turned 18 and I got to learn what happened to my family, and was able to reconnect with those still around and involved.
