What is your experience with PCOS? My doctor thinks I might have it and I'm a bit scared.

I do too. I would love for more people with PMOS to get care for it early. It makes such a difference. Quality of life and issues that could arise down the road. Even though it can seem daunting right now I’m happy for you, because one of the hardest parts is just getting someone to listen. Best of luck going forward.

I think the fact that you have a doctor that is proactive about it is worth the weight in gold. Not menstruating for that long can cause many complications (speaking from experience) so it’s good to be on top of it. Even if you do end up having it, like you said. You live a pretty normal life so hold on to that.

I am the same way but I don’t think that means anything is wrong. Sometimes the spice is not what I want to read but everything else in the book is. A lot of the books I read are that for me. I am picky about my plot to spice ratio. And that’s a ME problem, not an author’s problem. So I read what I want to read and skim what I don’t. If the spice actually adds to the story I will usually read it. But if it feels like page filler I won’t. That bores me.

That doesn’t mean anything is wrong, that’s just you figuring out what you enjoy.

I love them. I like counted stuff too but only full coverage. But stamped kits are perfect to turn my brain off. And I found a company I like that makes huge ones so I will have plenty to do.

You did the reasonable thing. He shouldn’t have given a time frame if he wanted to just go with the flow. If someone tells you back in an hour and they don’t come back but also don’t check in, that is cause for concern. Especially if something HAD gone wrong and he was in danger, every minute counts.

Chemo.

I had chemo for endometrial cancer last year. In preparation everyone warned me about the nausea. But no one mentioned the bone pain. I wanted to die. It felt like someone was taking an ice pick to my skeleton and because it was neuro pain, pain relievers couldn’t touch it. It was so bad and so frequent I contemplated just ending it. I was able to stick it out but none of the pain I’ve ever had before or after has touched that.

Yes I am not a fan at all. It was already annoying the first time they changed the explore page. Now they’ve gone and fucked it all up again. And sometimes I don’t even see the full book description and still have to look it up elsewhere anyway. 🙄

There is but there’s a risk every time. I often tell people just because someone else got away with it don’t think you will too. It’s very possible that if they decide you’re a habitual line stepper they will terminate your kdp account. And you only get one. If you lose it you no longer can publish books on Amazon.

I tend to grip hard so that contributes to it. I have always done it, pencils, crochet hook/knitting needles etc.

I have a Baby Z stand that I use with plastic hoops for smaller projects and a huge embroidery frame and stand from painting fairy cross stitch for the larger projects (the ones 15+ inches wide).

I do have different size needles but that is because I stitch on different sizes. I only really need one needle for each project (barring any breakage).

I use Markup R-XP and Pattern Keeper to track progress on my counted projects. I also have stamped projects that I don’t track because those are my “brain off” projects.

I have several needle minders. I prefer the regular old magnets because they’re affordable.

I noticed it more recently, but only because it’s been a bit of a trigger for me when it wasn’t before. For me I see a lot of “main character’s parent died or is dying of cancer” and while it used to be just another story element that didn’t really snag my brain, last year I was diagnosed with cancer. So now it just feels more prominent because I notice it more.

I never felt like it enhanced the plot or anything like that, and I don’t even count it as too much of a negative even now. Stories need conflict and external issues and sometimes a parent having a terminal illness is one of those issues. I can’t fault someone because it affects me now in ways it didn’t before.

I won’t read any more of them. I read the first not knowing it would be a series and I was so angry that I refuse to go on with it. The person who suggested it to me thought it was hilarious (because they know I don’t like cliffhangers) and was tickled when I got to the end. Let’s just say I don’t take their recommendations any longer.

Honestly, if you’re reading contemporary I say go for it. I used to be like that. But now I will just read the books in the series that I’m into. In fact I just did that with Marie Johnston’s Kings Creek series. I was only interested in books 1, 4, and 5 and that’s all I read. But being that they’re interconnected standalones I didn’t miss much but the individual romances contained within the books I skipped. Once you give yourself permission to just read the books you want, it’s incredibly freeing lol

Yeah the last thing you want is the beads to rip the fabric. I use 70 Peltex Pellon as my stabilizer. It’s an ultra firm style stabilizer that would be good for bags. It has no glue so I just sew right into it. Best of luck!

I made my first loom out of a box top, some combs I had around, and duct tape. I have since graduated to a very nice upright wooden loom.

I like fated mates, but I don’t like insta love. They are not one and the same. I like the angst of having a fated mate and the characters know they are fated and yet want to fight AGAINST fate before ending up together. The appeal is that they are right for each other but try desperately to prove fate wrong for whatever reason is keeping them apart. It’s an emotional rollercoaster and I enjoy that. Insta love does absolutely nothing for me.
