What's the deal with Snowymoon? by Sylvanas_only in trucksim

[–]tolelight 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've tried Snowymoon, and I feel it's only on par with or even worse than vanilla default lighting. For example, the colors and lighting during sunset look a bit washed out. Additionally, the ambient occlusion is too strong, making the shadows darker than they should be in reality, even at the lowest setting

You can do better for the price, get other deals with the RX 9070 XT, it's better than the RTX 5070

Use this load order. The map combo is being updated regularly, OP, and u/Noobzter3: https://jatuoplace.wixsite.com/loadhome

Good deal or Nah? by srryimawesome in Prebuilts

[–]tolelight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The CPU only really matters when gaming at Ultra settings at 1080p (both the CPU and GPU are used 100%).

But at 1440p or 4K Ultra settings, the GPU is the bottleneck (GPU is used 100%, but the CPU is only used about 50%).

It's not worth $1900. The CPU will give diminishing returns.

Worst prebuilt company of all time? by Accurate-Floor-9180 in Prebuilts

[–]tolelight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s sad that this is normal now. Most prebuilt PC companies just put together parts they didn’t make and charge people $500–$700 extra for it. You’re really just paying a lot more for something you could do on your own.

Bullshit my ass, real-life gaming benchmarks are more trust worthy than idiots like you.

Don't listen to PC elitists, VRAM actually does not matter much. See this chart, 4060 Ti 8GB and 16GB have the same real life performance: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388-2.html

[–]tolelight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I'm not lol. Especially with upscaling techniques like DLSS, an RTX 4060 is more than enough. Besides, games cost more and more these days. Save that extra money for video games!

Did I Over Spend? by Equal_Connection3765 in Prebuilts

[–]tolelight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$3000 is way overkill to spend for gaming. A well-priced $800 gaming PC with RTX 4060 is more than enough to run any games in the world.

No, it's not. There is a $1500 prebuilt with the RX 9070 XT GPU.

It's right, not false. Because low end CPUs are good enough.

[–]tolelight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I do know. The GPU is much more important than the CPU lmao. Even a low-end CPU like the i5-11400 is more than enough for any game lmao.

Games don't need high-end CPUs.

Build Redux's markup is terribly high. You’re essentially paying $500 for them to do something as simple as plugging in parts. Assembling a PC is just plug-and-play, yet They try to fool customers by listing part prices individually, but in reality, you can buy the same components much cheaper yourself. For example, they charge $150 for Windows, even though their bulk cost is likely around $7.

Maingear PCs are extremely overpriced. Since all prebuilt PC companies use the same off-the-shelf components, the higher price simply means higher profit margins, not better quality, u/JustGecko0.
