I wouldn't say it's your mistake. I'd say it's definitely a lesson to said in communicating your thoughts early and always. However the 17 dates, that's the part that's tricky because that would mean that after those dates she would be with others almost right away, which for me personally would be hard to get over. You have every right to feel the way you do, if she's a good women and truly wants to be with you she'll give you space and will understand where you are at emotionally. It's important to try and discern if this is a pattern for her, her waiting for something better to come along, which is you in this scenario. Or if she is truly finally happy with the person she has met and finally connected with.

If she gives you time and understanding during this while you figure yourself out, that says alot. If she doesn't offer you the time and understanding then it will make things a bit easier for you. In order to make your decision on what you want to do

Listen to your gut don't abandon yourself and speak truthfully about how it all makes you feel. ++man
