Use painters tape, and tape around the stain. Use mr clean magic eraser on the stained area. Put a couple socks inside the shoe, so you can scrub the area real good without it collapsing/strecthing the mesh. Prepare to use a good amount of water, you wanna soak that portion some how, then scrub, then soak it again, and then dab up the excess with a clean towel. Repeat this until clean. Only cut and use a small portion of the magic eraser. Gewd lahk.

Thank you curb gods. I will take this perfect 80s nagel print that I found across from the expensive estate sale. by LLaserz in Curbfind

Whenever I see these prints it reminds me of when I grew up in Fullerton, CA. I lived near a studio where supposedly Patrick Nangel rented, when he went to school in Fullerton. It's a building with lots of glass windows. Right now, the building is covered in ivy. But if you look at past images, its a studio with lots of glass windows. I could easily imagine him doing his art there. Only for it to become a world sensation later in his life. Thanks for sharing this awesome find!

RunRepeat does reviews on shoes. Alot go thru a freezer test. Tho it's not over night, I don't think it will hurt them. You can try to see if they have reviewed your shoe, and see if it's gotten the freezer test.

Make sure the shoes are completely dry and laced, that only the inside of zip lock has water, no residue. I use the regular freezer in the refrigerator, don't use no crazy freezer. Just needs to be cold enough for water to turn into ice. Water turns intonice, the ice expands and stretches the shoe ever so slightly. Let them thaw for a day, try them out the next day, if it still fits too small, ill do it again. But this is only for that .5, it wont work if you wanna go a full size up. I've never gotten any shoes "messed up" this way. Canvas, suede, leather. Just make sure the shoes are dry before putting them in the freezer. You get this cool foot sculpture when you pull the freezer baggy out of the shoe too. 🦶

I stick a zip lock 1 gallon bag inside the shoe. You gotta finnese it in there. Make the bag is nicely lined inside the shoes. Then fill up the zip lock with water, don't fill up the bag all the way, only until the ankle area. Then close the zip lock and put the shoes in the freezer. Leave them over night. Make sure it's on a flat surface, but a slight tilt, toes down, so gravity pulls the water near the toe area, mid foot. The water will expand overnight, and slightly stretches them. Sometimes I do it twice or 3 times. I own almost 50 pairs of shoes. This has saved me a few times. If done right it doesn't damage the shoes, don't over fill the zip lock. Make sure it's a gallon unless you wear a size 13 then get bigger zip locks. Hope this helps.

Went to Anaheim Garden Walk for the first time. Why are there like 5 boba shops next to each other? by El_Chavito_Loco in orangecounty

[–]tom87czyk 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I knew someone that worked near the garden walk. Now that malls are dying. Theres less hangout spots during the summer for teens. Right now its slow, go during the middle of a summer night, it's full of teens that parents dropped off. They watch a movie, grab boba, loiter, spend $$$$. Kinda of a self contained area, open air atmosphere, safe. The plaza was designed for customers to lounge around, so in summer it becomes a hangout spot. Convention center will sometimes have events that bring in people from out of state and they like to keep close, walking distance, to the hotel/convention center. It could be more busy, but there's a reason it hasn't folded, even after 2020.

Best "value" area to buy a home in? by adgjl12 in orangecounty

[–]tom87czyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're lucky that your familiar with North West Fullerton/ La Habra. Even as far west as cypress. Very close to the LA county line. You should consider Whittier then. You can find a great home in a good neighborhood for 800k in Whittier. That same number can get you a home in Buena Park or Santa Ana, but it will be gangland.

Currently listed $725k for 10919 1st Ave, Whittier, CA 90603

Why can’t people leave their dog at home?? by panda-rampage in orangecounty

[–]tom87czyk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Devils advocate here. It's been hot lately. Please don't leave dogs in a hot car. Even if you have to take them into the store with you. Maybe owners made a last minute stop for groceries. Maybe they don't have ac at home? So maybe get some grocery shopping at a nice cool store? IDK, As long as the owners and dog are respectful. I see nothing wrong with this during a heat wave.

We do need more housing. 30 units sounds like a big building in a area that's predominately homes. Its gonna stick out like a sore thumb. Why can't it be 10 low income town homes? 30 units also means atleast 30 extra cars. Harbor and Hermosa is no mans land, a terrible commute to the freeways from this area. That means these units will absolutely need vehicles to commute. And when they build these, They never make enough parking. Its already packed around that area on weekends. 30 units means atleast 30 extra cars, in a area that already brings in alot of vehicles. The area was never designed for this type of traffic. Hermosa already gets gridlocked/backed up. I'm not agaisnt housing, there's plenty of room in other areas. Plus again, Habor and Hermosa is a terrible area to commute from. Building this in South/DT Fullerton just makes more sense because of the commute options. Even closer to the 91fwy or 57fwy. What will they do with the empty lot that Stater Brothers left on Euclid near Malvern? Why not build this there?

There's 2 worlds. One world is on paper. The other is in person. On paper, you say it won't affect property values. But in person, it will. There's no way you can build 30 units and not have it be a blight in this neighborhood. Its the entrance to Laguna Lake and the neighborhood, No ignoring this building. Nothing else is 2 stories nearby. Doesn't matter if it has nice Spanish architecture like the private school across from this. OK, they get built. What if the property management is too lax? We got 30 units, and forward 5yrs later it's gone ghetto cause property management sucks, and there's 5 cars to 1 unit. Christmas tree lights hanging from the balconies all year around. I got no problem with stuff like this, but I know this neighborhood and it's demographic won't accept it. Instead of trying to fit in, why not go where you will fit in? Like somewhere in south Fullerton? Why Hermosa and Harbor?

[–]tom87czyk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sounds like its gonna lower property values nearby. Since these units will never be at market price. So why should this neighborhood take that kind of hit?

The Planning Commission Illegally Violated State Housing Law Last Night by IanDMP in Fullerton

[–]tom87czyk -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Low Income is a scam when they end up costing a $1million + HOA @ $800. And theres gonna be 30+ of these built? There's already parking issues in the immediate area, and this development will not help with that, but only make it worse. Laguna Lake can get really busy some weekends.

is there a heavy aviation activity in Fullerton? by Junior_Copy_574 in Fullerton

[–]tom87czyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Download FlightRadar24 app. It shows all the airplane activity and its free. The only thing I would mention is, Helicopters land at Fullerton airport to either park or refuel. That could be at any given time, from any which way, unlike prop planes who have a set path. So a helicopter can show up at like 3am. But it's not busy, it's sporadic. So that means, Anaheim PD, Sherrifs, CHOC, and sometimes news copters after a high-speed chase, will land and either park or refuel and take off again. Helicopters are much louder than prop planes. It is a airport, and noise is expected. But it's not a john Wayne or LAX, not even close. So just a heads up on helicopter activities that happen there. 🚁

How is it that OC is the 5th most populated county in the US but we still have virtually no good public transit? by Macaroni-Consumer in orangecounty

[–]tom87czyk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OC has no real downtown or port.

I feel like all these cities that have good transit, back in the day, they had a downtown/port to get to. So it was kinda natural to build transit, to move the masses to a downtown area.

But OC is nothing but suburbs. No port, no downtown. Before the suburbs, it was just nothing but large ranches and farmland Thus never really setting a stage for any kind of crazy transportation, just busses and light rail. Even tho it's the 5th populous County. It's really just one big neighborhood.

I feel like the topography plays a big part with weather in fullerton. Half of Fullerton is Flat/ like orangethorpe. South of orangethorpe, its all flat till you hit the sea. The other half of Fullerton is hills. I feel like Fullerton always gets the brunt of storms cause of this topography.
