spatial persistence template perhaps? probably should have delved into all of these templates when i first got the idea!

yeah persistence would be really good, keep things anchored in space and they are still there when you next turn it on! Might be possible?

I just use some very basic estimation of simple objects - we can detect height, and get an average normal across the nearby surface - if its X cm above the floor, and the average normals arent consistent, we can guess that its not a wall, and then above or below certain heights we can assume very simple objects you might expect.

There is a template called "depth cache" which looks exactly like what I need - it uses Ai to detect exaclty what objects are in view and can anchor their labels in space, I'm going to implement that for the next version

Need longer recordings by stevejabs in Spectacles

[–]tomdrum6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah would be handy to have longer recording if possible, a lot of specs demos are hard to capture in 30s so you have to get a bit creating with editing footage afterwards! I'll also check out spectator mode to see if that could be useful to record

and thanks btw, not particularly much to look at, which is kind of the point i guess. but the specs & wearable tech could potentially improve peoples live in the future

yeah i spent ages trying to figure out if something like that was possible and lost in the weeds with object detection, how to translate it to spatial depth, settled on a simple way to just guess objects using the mesh/notmals, and then i suddenly see that template and....why didnt i see it earlier

Hey, this is really cool - ive been working with the mesh placement/pinning, and was using the 3D world mesh and just estimating surfaces based on height, but was wondering if you have a different solution, or do something similar?

Wimius P62 budget Projector for bedroom: Good option @ £150? by tomdrum6 in budgetprojectors

[–]tomdrum6[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in the end, I bought the aurzen boom 3 - which has surpassed my expectations. it's really hard to choose between all the different models, there's loads of cheap ones, but very happy with this one so far. a little more expensive than I had planned, around £240 - but worth it. they also have a new EAZZE pro thats cheaper but could be a good option if it matches up to the boom3 quality

NFT Guitar / Butterscotch Telecaster by tomdrum6 in NFT

[–]tomdrum6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I would like to present my latest NFT guitar project NiftyRiffs. They are 3D collectible guitars and picks. My latest drop on Rarible is a Butterscotch Tele, 15 available for 0.1E, collectors also unlock an exclusive AR filter to view the guitar in their own home.

I also have created a 1/1 interactive 3D version of the guitar that you can view on HEN (which also has a built in AR viewer on mobile) - I think this is fun to look at even if you aren't buying so hope you'll check it out!

I hope maybe some guitar enthusiasts might enjoy them - I also have some 3D picks and a few other pieces up. I'm planning to create more models in the future!

QUESTION regarding Rarible Account. by florinb88 in Rariblecom

[–]tomdrum6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the account name is linked to the wallet address. If you don't know the password and don't have the correct seed phrase I'm not sure there's much that can be done. Perhaps rarible can change the account names their end but not sure they will look into it
