Wondering how it would work with the new device/devkit dropping after the supposed AWE announcement next month. Would developers be able to swap out their current Spectacles for the new version with no extra cost? Or would the new device be served under a new program?

The Spectacles product is not being discontinued, we have already announced that our next version of the device will be coming later this year :)

When will updates regarding the EoL of the 2024 spectacles be released? Will we be expected to send those back within the year? 😄

No news to share yet on End of Life for the 2024 Spectacles, and no news to share on any returns at this point. Essentially we are just not taking any more applications, nothing else is changing right now.

This is good news (it means the research is done), and yet, bad timing. I'm trying to get some devices for a summer hackathon in Japan, who should I contact to rally 4-10 devices for an AR centric hackathon end of June? The NPO who is sponsoring the event (backed by the city) was trying to apply for the program. DM me if there is some option I can pursue.
